For some reason this episode keeps crashing my Roku running the beta app. It’s also showing the lock icon on the bottom right corner like my premium isn’t linked even though all the other premium content works.

I need my weekly dose of Abby playing RE so I don’t have to!

Vinny sure has some weird and extreme opinions. There’s really not much between Claire and Leon as characters.

The video isn't working on an Amazon Fire TV either. It says it's 0 seconds long. Maybe it didn't upload correctly? I was really looking forward to my weekly dose of Abby screaming, Alex being startled and Dan giggling in anticipation of what she's about to encounter. Guess I'll have to wait.

I know Dan brought up playing RE6, but if they did a co-op RE game on camera, I think Revelations 2 is a better fit. It's a better game, better balance of horror and action, interesting asymmetrical co-op, Claire and Barry Burton are in it, the story and characters actually interesting, and it has neat stuff with both sides of the campaign taking place in the same location at different times.

Also I feel like everyone would get a kick out of playing as a little girl throwing bricks at zombies.

I don't know why everyone hates on the flood, they weren't that annoying. If you learned now to kill them. Just shoot em in the parasite. You can take them out with a single carbine shot on legendary in halo 2.

I brute forced my way through one of the medallions in the B play through as well because I couldn't find the third page. I didn't end up finding it until I did the b play through for a second time.

Clicking on the Download option just displays an X to close the download menu.

The archive hasn't uploaded/finished processing yet, this is just the live stream broadcast which is why it won't work in any apps and there is no download available.

Normally they seem to do it when the archive is going to be delayed or has problems.

RE6 is four campaigns with each individual ranging from mediocre to god awful. It takes like 40 hours to complete, and none of it is that enjoyable.

I fully support Dan and Abby playing through RE6. Especially the campaign with Weskers son.

Wonder if Abby has played the first Dead Space, and if not, would she consider a playthrough for the site? Been 10 years since it came out, would be neat to revisit it.

Glad they went with Claire, because Leon's always sucked. And he just gets lamer as the series goes on.

I just now finished Res 2 with Leon, and he wasn't all that bad. There was a character I personally fell in love with (not Leon). And yes, like I think Alex said, it could definitely get a little campy or whatever, some term for it.

But I really enjoyed it as fun. Pretty much hitting the same beats as what I have seen of Abby's, though also with different path divergences.

I swear to god I used to be sceptical of @danryckert... 3 years later, as if by some kind of drip drip mind subversion, I am 100% convinced I love the guy.

I love Claire's use of profanities lmao.

@fdl: I was wondering the same thing and discussed it with a member of the site during the livestream. The consensus was that Dead Space is more combat heavy requiring tighter aiming and reaction time. Also the puzzles are a lot more mechanical than clue based - I think Abby likes the Nancy Drew-esque puzzle nature in RE2. The story is also a lot more “serious” and Isaac is somewhat of a blank slate so she might not feel any attachment. Knowing Abby she also might not be too thrilled to play a game where the main objective is for a dood to save his girlfriend.

Finally I think a lot of it hinges on how much you like sci-fi. Personally it’s my favorite setting so I absolutely love Dead Space. It also has some of the best art design I’ve ever seen with all the bespoke posters, logos and artwork.

with mass alex and these re2 playdates this is some quality content coming from GBE. Great stuff!

Maybe people have a bias towards who you play through as first? I prefer Leon to Mass-Effect-Andromeda-face, but I'd be the first to admit she gets the better weapons.

I'm a little afraid this series is taking a bad turn. Vinny is helping way too much and as a result Abby is gradually just relying on him and asking for answers as apposed to figuring it out herself which is what was so great about this series in the first place.

When she just has a checklist of things to do, it takes away from the creepy immersion this game is so good at too :(

I would like to see a coop playthrough of Resident Evil 6 as Dan suggested, because that game is really... something.

Maybe I'm weird, but I couldn't care less if Abby goes in "blind" or has a little guidance. For me, the best part of any GB content is the banter and reactions among the staff, and you still get that.
