Really enjoy this kind of thing. I feel I get a lot more out people talking about a video game as a round table discussion than a written review/ video review. Reminds me of how they talk about game of the year.

Hey, trying new things is good. I'm not going to complain about GB talking about a game for an hour, but I'll always miss a good old written review I can read in 10 mins and get on with my life.

Oh, a hour long discussion as a review eh. No issues with something else to listen to while doing other stuff.

I love this format for reviews!!! I really enjoy putting GB podcast on in the backgound and having a more focused longer discussion in audio/video fomat is fantastic. I love these candid style reviews.

I listened to a lot of the bombcast at home yesterday instead of saving it for my commutes later this week, because I wanted to hear these guys talk about the spider man.

I'm into this! I rather like the discussion format, it feels like you can achieve more perspective on something than a review could manage (given that you can't really write a multi-person review in a coherent fashion).

I've heard of Spider-Man

I was very confused for a minute there, thought maybe the video titles got mixed up with the podcast or something.

Really into this whole format. An hour might be more than I need though. Already have enough trouble keeping up with the podcasts and all the video content honestly, but that's just might be me. But hey maybe this is more for people who don't already watch/listen that content because there's also the written review for a quick reference.

I haven’t had a chance to listen to this yet and I’m very curious: is this just the podcast portion where they talked about the game or is this an entirely new thing? Either way, this is an extremely cool idea.

I really like this new format, I dig a roundtable about a specific game to get more in depth on a specific game.

I really like the idea. I would make it shorter with more specific questions. It’s a little long and repetitive when you just listen the giant bombcast the same day. And planning to watch the quick look.

I haven't listened yet but I love that it's an hour long and since I love you guys just talking, I know I will enjoy this.

I like how in-depth this review gets. Being limited to a few hundred words in a written review means a lot of the reviewer's points are either condensed or omitted entirely. Some people might miss the brevity of the old written reviews--they're very digestible--but I think this format is much more informative. One thing I'd like to see added are video/screenshots of the game being reviewed, perhaps in a split-screen format a la Jan's work on Bombcast news stories. I don't want video/screenshots the entire review--it would be too distracting from what the reviewer is trying to say--but maybe just a bit of those to illustrate certain points or just to spice up the review.

Any idea when this is going to drop on iTunes? It’s not on the presents feed.

Good format! A little stiff from everyone in general, but that might just work itself out over time. You guys stand out against the crowd of gaming outlets by how relaxed and "real" you all seem in your content.

This felt more like when jeff / brad interview devs in standalone podcasts. I think people will be okay with you all going off-script a little more so to speak, though I see why you'd want to stay on target since that's the whole point of the video.

I think you'll crush this format though once you work it out.

Kinda reminds me of your GOTY discussions where it seems like you are just having a discussion you would normally have, you are just taping it now. I approve.

I was just thinking about something like this. I was searching for giantbombcast audio specifically about a game I’ve been playing and that can be hard to come by nice and isolated on YouTube or somewhere. I love the idea of having game specific talk from you guys that I can search for and not have to jog through an entire bombast. I don’t have the time I used to. Like

I really like how Waypoint does article reads with a freeform conversation following the prewritten read through of the article. It really works for them and this I think really works for GB. Hope a video element will follow in the future but so far I really dig this idea.

I still like reading reviews from time to time and generally really love the staff's ability to pen a good few paragraphs about a game but I also think this plays more to the website's strengths and paves a way forward for reviews. Look forward to more in the future!
