Fantastic episode. It has that "Giant Bomb is at it again" vibe which I love so much.

As someone who has a Rift, PSVR sure looks like a pain.

Its really not bad - you just have to remember that its one camera and its looking for colored lights. So having things in the way, out of frame, or colors behind you messes it up.

First time i tried it was at my buddy's house - we sat on couch for hours in well-lit big room with a controller, it worked 100% fine there through 4 or 5 games. (I even stopped and looked for Jeff's motion sway issues - i found it happen slightly, but I wouldn't have noticed if I didn't specifically stop and look).

So i bought it, and I use it in a medium room i can move everything out of my way, I stand and I have move controllers. i play in the dark. Except for cords, (next version needs to be wireless!!!), I haven't had the issues they do. They must not be set up right? Its one camera, it is what it is - a limitation yes - but it makes it affordable. So you work within its limitations. (Its like people who say "consoles suck compared to PCs", yeah my PC cost $1600 at the time my ps4 was $399, but that ps4 is so much more accessible and I use it more - and now my 980 video card seems stupid/outdated with 2080's coming out). --- I also have an intense fear of hitting things in the room, (im alone in room so cant always tell where i am), and have a fear that people are in room with me - but thats not PSVR's fault, any headset would do that to me.

If you limit the one camera so it cant track you, your experience will obviously suck.

Good God. This was incredible. VR was made for laughs like these. Even if VR never actually becomes a real thing, it was all worth it for these games.

I feel so bad for Abby sometimes when watching this. Her screams are visceral and in any other setting would be terrifying, but as someone said earlier, her ability to immediately recover and carry on casual conversation makes it all bearable. That being said, this series is so much fun to watch and this might be the best episode yet. Thanks, Abby! :)

Haha that was great! Abby produces some amazing sounding screams. I keep cracking up at the thought of this 1 dark little room in the middle of this serious office environment and all kinds of weird screams coming out of there.

Finally, a control scheme that's even more horrifying than the tank controls of ye olde days.

Love how a lot of people are blaming the game and not the real cause, the PSVR's notoriously bad tracking hardware. Played this game on my Vive, smooth and perfect. Not a bad game actually, for VR standards.

To this day, this video is one of the best things GB has ever done. From Vinny editing the technical difficulties into genuine entertainment, to Abby alternating between being annoyed with the broken gaming experience and being viscerally terrified by it (that ending, holy shit), this video just feels like a perfect example of what GB is and why it works.

And given this, it's kind of fascinating to see the comments explaining all the ways that Abby and Vinny were using the VR rig "wrong." I get that people were just trying to be helpful, but it seems to me that the super-specific requirements of VR are exactly why it's remained as niche as it has, and personally, I'd much rather see people experience VR in the space they have available, warts and all, than see it working "properly" under conditions that 99 people out of 100 could never be bothered to replicate.
