"YOU MADE MEEEEEEEE" He screams. "YOU ALLLLL MAAAADE MEEEEE"
His final cries cut from his throat as yet another mushroom cloud erupts over the horizon.
The burning ruins surrounding the dilapidated court room echo the dying maddening cries. "Just let me use the rewind...please."

If you are adventurous, you might be able to swap out the controller in the dead drive. Since it doesn't power on, it sounds like the controller is just busted and swapping it with another one might do the trick.

Doing the swapparoo is easy, the problem is that you'd probably need a controller from a similar, maybe even the very same model of a drive.

They still runnin a wire to that controller even though the Dual Shock 4 is much faster over bluetooth..

Is the audio on the stream off for anybody else? It seems like the gate for their voices was too far away from the game audio, because every time they stopped talking for a couple of seconds the game audio jumped up in volume very noticeably. It was kind of distracting.

@clapmaster: they're in a studio with interference so more than likely Bluetooth is not faster in their environment

dude, HEAVY FUCKING DUTY old school giant bomb hang feels out of this particular show of this particular feature, just brad, jeff, jason, jan, ribbing and playin a game for the challenge and banter. God I needed this amidst the bad puns and game projection/criticism/coverage-ness and analyzing why video games in detail. This is why, Giant Bomb Dot Com Buddy time is amazing and having that sorta atmosphere of back on the couch was very welcome and magical. Sorry Brad, for your suffering, but this was just..relaxed and funny and good.

@hildatilde: Brad has been engulfed by darkness for a while now. Every once in a while you can see his face come up for air when he gets a fire flower..and then he is very quickly dragged back down.

Rough. May I suggest a “special” palette cleanser?

The impropriety of this game is nothing compared to that certain, special other game.

Man, it seems like Brad was more broken here than he was even in previous videos in this series :(

Shadow of the Ninja (known here in PAL land as Blue Shadow, because of the whole Ninja censorship thing) is actually pretty great, but I'm probably biased because I owned a legit cartridge of it as a child.

The controls are tight and there are some boppin' tunes in there, though I'm guessing it's harder and more frustrating than I remember.

Damn that bumper car story from Brad was cold blooded

I remember during an Extra Life, Brad was great at Rogue Legacy when he was tired and not thinking. The second he overthinks something, he freezes up and dies.

It's INFURIATING that they don't remember the hidden 1-Up in 4-1.

Haha this episode was amazing. Loved seeing Brad's reaction every time he died, hilarious. World 5 is gonna be a piece of cake for him. Cant wait for the next one.

Jeff enjoys Brad's worst deaths so much. I'm sure he is playing it up for the camera, but it is still hilarious.

Yeah, it's great, I love it.

I had never heard of it before they put it on the Switch emulated NES games, but I gave it a spin the other night, and it was surprisingly enjoyable. There are a couple difficulty spikes, but overall it was way easier than something like Ninja Gaiden. I managed to get like 2/3rds of the way through the game in a couple sittings without abusing the rewind feature or anything like that.

Brad's getting hazard pay for this, correct?

Brad overthinking things, then immediately dying mainly because he sat there thinking about it for too long, is the purest most blissful schadenfreude

Jeff's face when he realizes that 5-3 is a looping puzzle level is fantastic.

Some awesome progress by Brad this episode. The previous episode showcased how bad Brad can be when he just kind of gives up mentally. He really got a rythym going. Hopefully it won't take long to get back in the zone next time.

that's exactly why I love these videos so much. There's one of those moments like every 3 minutes.
