It's the natural next phase of the "Brad's leaving" rumor.

The physics in Mario 1 and Mario 2 remind me of why when I was playing the first one as a kid with my mother, we would both always whip the controller around as we jumped and ran, etc...so many of these jumps Brad Mario looks so leaden it looks IMPOSSIBLE for him to survive and yet somehow he lands. It's really odd to watch.

@unastrikemy school absolutely had the different colored tickets for the poor kids at lunch. Poor kids had the green tickets everybody else had pink tickets. And of course, kids made sh*t comments to the poor kids. I should know, I was one of the poor kids!

Brad's issue with playing Mario after Spelunky is why when I played my first Mario game about 5 years ago (always had Sony consoles as a kid) I could never play more than an hour before putting it down. The movement feels so strange coming to it so many years later and having spent hundreds of hours with Spelunky

@brad So as to give a generic tip about the looping paths in 6-4 without explicitly giving the answer: Those small gaps in the three-level sections don't count. That is to say, e.g. after the hammer bro you don't need to go middle to upper like you were; as long as you're on top at the end it counts. The reason I mention this is, since you have the first part figured out already, it's not all that intimidating to do the rest. There are only six possibilities: (top, bottom) → (top, middle, bottom).

At least I think that's the case. There might be one more branch the game recognizes that I'm forgetting about. Regardless, I think that information will make it seem a lot more manageable.

Regarding the garlic discussion in this episode, here's some info you might want to know. Be careful not to buy minced garlic from China. It's often produced from forced prison labor, and it gets worse than that:

The more I watch this, the more I'm convinced that Brad actually doesn't want World 5 to end. He just wants an excuse to style on people with his pixel perfect glitches and jumps.

I don't think you could do the 60 tacos in 20 minutes if it was hardshell. We've all had that bite go awry with a taco and have the shell scrape your mouth or throat. The risk of that happening is just too high. Too high I say!

@vinny You gotta get a Microplane zester and grate your garlic. It's the fastest and easiest way to prep it, and you maximize the amount of garlic flavor extracted.

That is what I miss pre-covid...I have not had Waffle House in so long. Would love a big pecan waffle and hashbrowns (smothered, covered, and chunked)
