i agree, posting a video in 360p quality is a cheap move. I understand the need for premium subscribers, but still.... 360p, not even 480p?

GOTY for sure, but it's goddamn getting on my top 3 of all time. It pushed out Morrowind. That's how fantastic it is.

My first random dragon encounter happened late last night, and scared the SHIT out of me. Luckily I could defeat it with little to no problem. Yeah, this game rocks,

The problem with these games is that in essence Skyrim, and Oblivion before it, involve mostly hand to hand combat which just isn't done well. The same can be said on Fallout 3, it's a FPS with bad shooting mechanics. So I understand everything else is spectacular, I just can't shake it that the combat itself is floaty and just doesn't feel right. And that is the basics of it.

Keep up the AMAZING video reviews Giant Bomb! You guys do it like no other! Btw. i agree with you Brad, Skyrim is FAAAAANTASTIC game and i have had one hell of a time with it "so far" (60 hours in). Every bit of this game is fantastic, and i haven't even met any bugs on my journey yet, so i'm a happy man

Sums the game up very nicely. I can't argue with any of the central points at all. Granted I'm only about 20 to 30 hours in which is not enough to know very much about these games, especially if you approach it slightly obsessive like I do, but so far I haven't had this much fun since Morrowind. Which means a lot in my book especially because Skyrim is significantly more friendly for new players and still has crazy depth if you're looking for it.

You guys should do more of these video reviews, they're always fantastic.

Great Review Brad. I've only played about 5 hours so far of Skyrim but the game already has me hooked. Haven't been doing much of the main story but just going around and exploring which is a lot of fun to me.

I'm afraid that if I pick this up, I'll won't leave the house for a week.

One of the three major titles recently, Skyrim is awesome.

That's November beard. A phenomenom that prevents grown men from doing just about anything except play games for the rest of the year.

I do recall Brad mentioning late last year that bathing became less of a priority one weekend late last year.

If they did a full on Video Review and not just link to the Quick Look, it must be one of the four best games of the year.

I was only able to play Skyrim for a hour, but it is easily the greatest achievement mankind has ever produced.

Dragons is the reason i want to play Skyrim , i am not an avid rpg player . Nor am i any good in the rpg realm.

And still i want to play it ! It will probably end up dusty on my game-shelf .... but that's all good too .

I told myself I wouldn't buy this game because it was so huge because I know I would loose my life in Skyrim. After watching Giant Bombs videos made me realize I need this game. Good bye social life.

This game is absurd! Every time I think I've maxed my quest log, I find 3 more. I'm currently doing work for the dark brotherhood, thieves guild, companions / became a werewolf! not to mention countless misc. tasks and various objectives across the land... couriers bringing me quests, bars handing me contracts. I mean, this is overwhelming in a good way. Overwhelming has never been a good thing before.

The major problem with Skyrim right now (at least on consoles, don't know about pc) is that Bethesda still forgot to put points in the Make Your Game Work skill.
