I thought I wouldn't feel any E3 hype this year... but I can feel the vibrations in the air when I open the window. When I drink a glass of water I can see it start wobbling when E3 crosses the mind. I can feel the expo reach for my ankles when I try to sleep at night. It's back!

Layton x Phoenix Wright came out. I liked it a lot. They're still making phoenix wright games. They could easily port those to Switch and have them be good.

Time to brush up on some VR knowledge.

Microsoft has their own VR platform already, it's called Windows Holographic. It is confusing because everyone thinks it's for Hololens and nothing else, but it's for everything. Acer, ASUS, Compaq and others are making VR goggles with the Windows Holographic standard. That is inside out tracking (with optional external trackers shown in videos) and augmented reality possibilities through the camera.

Microsoft showed off hand controllers a few weeks ago, they are tracked by the camera on the headset.

It's not known if these support the Scorpio yet, but it would make more sense than partnering with Oculus. I believe there is next to no connection between MS and Oculus other than the Xbone controller being a pack in because Oculus didn't want to make their own.

Oh my god, an hour in and I'm giggling about how badly they mis-remember the Splinter Cell, Need for Speed, and other franchises. Titles, order of release, etc., it's like talking to my elderly mom about, well, anything.

They are right in that Microsoft can hype up how awesome Scorpio is, but it won't matter if they don't have the games. I was perfectly happy with the XBone but I ended up buying a PS4 a few weeks ago because that's where all the games I was interested in this year (Yakuza, Horizon, the Fire Pro remake, etc.) are. I'm not a huge shooter fan so Gears and Halo do nothing for me.

Also another thing they missed is that Bethesda said it will be showing off Fallout VR.

Don't they know kentia hall is still really used for ax? It is where you get personal made vendor items from artists so its not just a parking lot.

Since Scorpio is supposed to be just a little bit better than PS4 Pro, I guess they'll call it XBOX 1UP.

This is the first year Sony hit with it's exclusives, it's not like the last 4 years MS hasn't had any games. Previously it was mostly about the power difference making PS4 better for 3rd party multi-plats being the big thing. Moving the goalposts man...

YES! Someone else finally says it. Good sweet lord this has been the weirdest generation for moving goalposts. Xbox one killed it with first year games but everyone wanted PS4 because power. Now all of a sudden it's all about games (which really outside of this year, what has PS4 really brought that makes it so much greater than xbox one?). MS has had a slow start to this year while PS4 has got off hot so that is all anyone remembers and it is maddening.

The past few years has been maddening as people act like xbox has no games. It doesn't have a lot of those japanese games sony gets but xbox has had lots of games. Drives me insane.

Also beastcast, 343 has said no halo 6 this year, said it like a few weeks ago. Something small Halo will be there. It seems people just don't pay attention to xbox and then interpret that as they have nothing. No mention of cuphead, state of decay 2, sea of thieves at e3.

I've had both since launch and this is just wrong.

Can't really blame you guys for not keeping up with Street Fighter V, but they're halfway through their second season of characters. There are six in total, and while one was Akuma the others have never been playable before. The second one out was Kolin, a minor character from Street Fighter 3 that was the assistant of the main bad guy in that game. She's an Eastern European ice woman. The third one out was Ed, a kid experimented on by Shadaloo to be another of M. Bison's replacement bodies. Balrog sort of adopted him during Super Street Fighter 4, and he now fights using a combination of Psycho Power and boxing. There are believeable speculations about the last three DLC characters of this season out there(two minor Final Fight characters and a new apprentice of Rose, specifically), but nothing has been announced yet, so they could possibly have another character trailer ready.

Having said that, isn't more Marvel VS Capcom Infinite news more likely? That game is supposed to launch this fall.

It is significantly more powerful than the ps4 pro. A much larger gap than the x1 to ps4 initially was as well.

should have said "hit this hard", not saying they haven't had good games before. Just that exclusives on ps4 were solid before, xbox had a few years I'd call great. This is the first year that seems really great for sony so far. Big thing is they release early in the year and MS releases later in the year for the most part. So the what have I seen lately crowd has this "MS needs exclusives, they've had none!" is driving me crazy.

@infinity_thor: The first year around any new console is all about "potential". Both the PS4 and XB1's first year library were mostly forgettable. If you bought either console that early it's most likely because of your hopes for what was coming down the pipeline.

But we're not in a first year of their new consoles anymore. Now you buy those consolse for the actual library. Neither the Scorpio or the Pro will do much to change that if the standard XB1 and PS4 is still the baseline for any new game coming out.

Every time they mention Scorpio I think of Hank Scorpio from the Simpsons. EVERY TIME.

Oh man, Papa Vinny getting salty about Bethesda games made my day. While I could listen to Alex, Abby, and J. Baks talk movies all day, I'm feeling like Dan should be banned from movie talk on the podcast. I wouldn't mind it if he had something clever or interesting to say about them but all too often it's randomly referencing a movie for the sake of referencing.

Dan, please watch more Al Pacino movies. Dog Dad Afternoon, Serpico, Donnie Brasco, Insomnia off the top of my head.
