Sea of Thieves is a fun game. It was never advertised to be some super deep RPG. It does need more things to do, more customization etc, but for a game you can play for 10 bucks no problem, it is great and a lot of fun. The fun doesn't come from doing quests over and over but interacting with people, exploring this world, and just trying to survive while doing the quest.s

I recently saw all 4 Indiana Jones movies for the first time and Temple of Doom is by far the worst, such a slog to get through. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is bad as well but it doesn't compare to Temple of Doom.

And I'm pretty sure Ghibli had zero to very little involvement with Ni no Kuni II. They just kept the art style that Ghibli established in the first game.

Did Dan say the other God of War titles were 8-10 hours first play-through? Maybe if you played 1, 2 AND 3 it would come close to 8 hours. They're 2-3 hours at most!

The conversation at the 1 hour 25 minute mark was grape, like Abby I don’t get why men share porn and go to strip clubs together as a gay chick going with my guy friends to any sexual place frightens me (not for safety reasons) like do duders really enjoy getting lap dances next to their friends who are also getting lap dances? Don’t those end with you cuming in your pants? Like I never understand men and sex, women from my experience as a gay one are not largely bi-sexual but many are open minded yet dudes can justifiably be very one way yet do some very odd homoerotic(/intimate) shit to/with each other. I read a lot of Maxim when I was 14 and never wanted any of my guy friends to see because I don’t want them jerking it on my shit yet guys are ok with used porn?!?

Listing to them talk about Sea of Thieves, I don't understand how that game came out without AI controlled ships. I mean it's a pirate game where you don't seem to do much actual piracy. Having random AI ships that you could plunder, as well as AI controlled naval forces to fight against, seems like it would fill a pretty significant hole in that game. All of the ship-to-ship action being PvP only seems like it could be a bad experience for a lot of people.

Man, I'm disappointed they didn't read my email. It would've been a lot of fun.

At some point during the show I became a mark(á la wrestling) and my lizard brain somehow began to like these mean people less than I did when the show started. What is happening.

There is at least one point in the podcast where Vinny says Cory Balrog, and I am way into it.

Can't blame the GB crew for the negative views based on watching their experience.

However, a few things to keep in mind:

Server issues at launch seemed to make encounters with other players more rare than was intended, and that's where the magic can actually happen

While 4 types of skeletons still isn't exciting, they do have a few variations (metal skeletons rust, shadow skeletons are much faster at night, plant skeletons regain health in water)

To easy the monotony of ground combat, you can aim ship canons to bombard skeletons or use gunpowder barrels (which they did, and they were just passing by a canon on the island instead of using it)

Solo is actually interesting, because of how different it plays (sailing is more hectic, and you have to avoid conflict for the most part)

Riddle quests (like the one shown at E3) unlock later, and can be found in bottles. Personally I think those should be more readily available at the start, but it's in there.

If you are curious, game pass is the way to go. Hope the gang gives it another try too.
