And then I kept reading past the first couple series and realized "Oh. Walker Boh, a druid, is fighting a computer or some shit. What."

AND THEN you just keep going and "Oh. ...This is actually post-apocalyptic magic America... Wait, what the fuck?"

The podcast dropping early Friday morning really gets me through my busy mornings at my bakery job. No such luck today! I had to listen to fucking Marc Maron to pass the time and avoid conversation with the squares at work. It's all good, though. I endured.

Had me jonesin' for some Beastcast for a hot minute there...

Alex, Spain can actually be pretty goddamn good. In addition to gaining twice the happiness, they also get twice the yield from natural wonders. Obviously, how useful this is depending on how lucky you are with your start, but with a decent to good natural wonder nearby, this can translate into some sick food/production/faith. Lake Victoria and Solomon's mines with Spain, for example, will give you 12 food and production respectively, and that's huge. Their conquistadors, however, aren't very good units, since their unique ability, which lets them settle cities, isn't very useful- for me, anyway- since you're probably done with settling cities by the time you unlock them.

Also, please talk about Civ 5 on the podcast more! Very much like you, civ 5 is my "comfort game" which I keep coming back to, and until now, I didn't think there was anyone at Giant Bomb who shared that interest.

When I was listening to them talk about Great Detective Pikachu. A thought came to me , how weird would it be if the voice actor had the same kind of style as the one from that (rather bad) noir arc from gintama about that hard boiled detective...... then the trailer plays :)

Sabre Rider and the Star Sheriffs had a good solution to the group mech pilot issue (even as their mech wasn't a combination mech). Each member was a specialist, so there was a gunner, pilot, comms, and commander.

For Voltron, the original Black Lion pilot got killed by the witch. So the Red Lion pilot got promoted to Black Lion and the Blue Lion got promoted to Red. That left Princess Alura to be the new Blue Lion pilot.

Ha, I remember the System Wars forums. Sheep, cows, lemmings, and hermits.

Also Nintendo had a stage presence at E3 2014 and 2015 for their Smash Bros. Tournament and Nintendo World Championship event. I think they will use the stage this year for NX.

(I hope the USPTO deal doesn't interfere with Sony's planned ad campaigns, wanting to using it as a slogan without having to worry about frivolous lawsuits, which is why things like these get registered.)

(Regarding HQ moving in Japan, there are unmentioned reasons (see Square-Enix) that come from the knowledge that there will always be a The Big One hitting Tokyo, so companies head a little towards the west in the country.)

My local Barnes and Nobles is also selling Gundam model kits along with a bunch of other anime, Minecraft and Marvel merchandise. I've noticed that a lot of book and movie stores have begun dedicating large sections of floor space to "nerd lifestyle" stuff like that. Can't go into a MovieStop anymore without walking by a myriad of Doctor Who and Star Trek coffee mugs.

All these Ross Perot impressions are making this podcast hard to listen to for any length of time.
