Seriously though, @austin_walker, the vanilla WoW private server's name is a play on "nostalgia", you pronounce it "nostal-rius".

I guess I must be the anomaly, then, since I've never had any problems playing games on Remote Play on both the Vita version and the PC one. Wired all the way between my computer and the PS4. My preferred way to play, especially since the drive on the console's loud and so I can stash it in the other room.

Hell, I've played Bloodborne on it, and it was fine. *shrug* (The connection, I mean, not the game.)

Apparently the production or budget or something was troubled on that Robin Hood Disney movie, to the point that a handful of animation-intensive scenes of Little John are actually just recycled animation from the Jungle Book and one or two other movies. Baloo the bear and Little John are nearly the exact same character design aside from the clothing difference.

I swear for a couple of minutes I thought I had the wrong day all day today. It was a scary feeling.

I had to pause the podcast I'm laughing so hard. Glad this podcast was released early. It would have been embarrassing to be laughing this hard at work tomorrow.

The reason (new) video card prices stay high is because you all continue to only buy nVidia out of brand loyality (there's always some excuse, it keeps moving around to whatever best frames the reason as totally not brand loyalty). How many of the GB computers that kept crashing on Dark Souls were running nVidia cards? 100%?

Here's an oft seen quip on forums, paraphrased: "I hope AMD has a good showing so that I can get my nVidia card cheaper". nVidia is not unaware of this.

That said, there are SO many 970s out there. So many. It might get crowded in the 2:nd hand market once everyone wants to unload those, so in the used video cards market there might be some deals to be had, though usually people are way way too optimistic about what their old shit is worth (like comically so).

It's so frustrating seeing everyone being all "I'm ready for Pascal!" when we don't know ANYTHING about the price/performance/power ratios of the next generation cards, which are coming out about the same time. Nothing. Yet already a brand is selected.

The long-term end scenario for this is that you'll be paying even more for less and progress will slow once AMD is out of the picture.

At least be cognizant about the situation. Actually evaluate the options. That's all I ask.

Otherwise, enjoy your future $1000 GPUs because fuck you there's no option. HTH. HAND.

I like how the beastcast does analysis on stuff as well as random tangents rather than how the bombcast seems like a general commentary on current events.

@mems1224: i keep telling myself i hate seafood but in reality i think i like quite a bit of it. Eat tuna salad on the reg, enjoy sushi, fried scallops i had a while back were divine (though they were fried). A lot of it is weird and pretty gross on principle. Jellyfish, urghhh...

It's no secret, it's extremely common for animation studios to reuse animation cells and keyframes. Just think of the amount of times characters walk the same way in every episode of those Hanna-Barbera cartoons.

But yes, Robin Hood came at a time when Disney weren't in a good place and they made it very cheaply compared to their other works due to their financial struggles with their attempts at live action films targeted to a more teenage market. It wasn't until Who Framed Roger Rabbit that they got it right and went on to have their string of 90s hits that put them back on top like they had been in the 40s and 50s.

I've used the remote play stuff on the PlayStation TV, Vita and now using an 8 year old MacBook and I have to say they've all been pretty decent. I think the MacBook has been working best though with very little lag and decent picture. Currently playing dark souls 2 on it and it feels not dissimilar to playing directly on the PS4. If I wire it up its a bit smoother but even wireless works okay.

@eloj: Nvidia cards on average perform better than AMD cards.

That said, I do have a R9 390 and haven't had the crashes in Dark Souls 3 yet. So go figure.

@allodude: You're right. For whatever reason, in my mind, chakrams and glaives are interchangeable.

With the current crop of DX11 games yeah that seems to be the case, the early reports about AMD cards running better on DX12 is promising from a competition standpoint. Obviously it's early days and it will be a couple of years to really see how that all plays out. Not to mention we're still waiting on whatever specs of Pascal will be.

Hey kids, don't forget to pay your taxes so that your country can protect by invading other countries; maintaining secret prison outside jurisdiction and the famous assassination by drone program.

But don't worry, at least 1 or 2 schools will be funded with that money and maybe some roads too!

By the way I'm sure that everybody knows that the real Robin Hood stole from the state to give back the undue taxes to the citizens. And what was used the taxes for? War against France.

It works for me (albeit significantly downgraded visually) but it's not the greatest experience for most of my games where I need fast-response input. I find the input lag - while significantly better than PSNow - is pretty noticeable.
