@jonny_anonymous:Yeah it does fall on deaf ears for me really. The Witcher 3 (pre-patch) was one of the worst I've seen for inventory management, but didn't really affect my enjoyment of that game at all.

Regarding the performance for BOTW between the Switch and the Wii U, Digital Foundry released a video showing that besides the starting area the Switch performs better most of the time (docked and undocked).

I love that it's 2017 ("we nearly live in space!") and Persona 4 is still such a common touchstone for GB

"Better with friends" is a weak defense for any game, but it's really the only way to enjoy Wildlands for me.

I don't think it's always bad but BOTW is definitely just lacking some really fundamental features to make it a positive thing.

Just for the record:

The Constructicons combine to form Devastator; main rivals are the Dinobots (no combined form in most canon).

The Combaticons combine to form Bruticus; main rivals are (usually) the Aerialbots, who combine to form Superion.

The Stunticons combine to form Menasor; main rivals are (usually) the Protectobots, who combine to form Defensor.

The Technobots combine to form Computron; main rivals are usually the Terrorcons, who combine to form Abominus.

I don't automatically hate inventory management, but so many games can't be bothered to even put in the most basic convenience features. Things like sorting, marking things as junk, sell all, etc. should be included in every inventory system, period. And yet a ton of games can't do this right.

I'm playing through Horizon right now and while it's generally really good, every time I have to interact with the inventory and menus I start to genuinely hate the game.

So i paused the podcast and wrote down 10 things i associate with Finland.

Listening to them tear down BotW for 45 minutes makes it sound like a 2/5 game. None of the conversations they've had on the Bombcast or Beastcast sounds like they even enjoy the game outside of Brad and Dan.
