I sure hope this feature continues post lockdown. Being able to have a constant stream of cross-coast interaction and feedback to listen too/engage with is gonna be a major reason for me to stay premium for the long haul.

The whole gang/combinations of people who don't get to work together often is always a major high-light of big events, E3, GotY and such. Turning that into a weekly podcast would be fantastic. Now all we need is a return of the powerbombcast talking about how awesome AEW is!

THE video game history podcast. My new favorite content on the site. I hope they hit rewind occasionally, and dive deeper into stuff they may have mentioned in passing already. I've been reading a lot of video game history stuff during the Lockdown, and it's nice to have a video version to relax to in the evenings by the guys I've been watching for well over a decade.

As a kid who did the NES -> Genesis -> SegaCD -> PSX arc this was a nice ride down memory lane.

If we celebrating SEGA, is now a good time to plug my list where I reviewed every main Sonic game?

Keep up all the great work guys. Wasn't around during the Gamespot days but it's still nice to see the return of the Hot Spot!

I'm kinda glad the Dreamcast failed, because it made Sega what it is today. Which is an amazing publisher! They are absolutely killing it on PC the last couple of years with Total War, Football Manager, Company of Heroes, Yakuza, Endless Legend and Two Point Hospital.

I mean this is in the best way possible but Vinny convincing someone to buy a Dreamcast over a PS2, makes me convinced that he would be the guy to present a really good argument as to why Jack should trade his cow for a bunch of beans (even though it's actually a bad deal).

@avioto: but Sega now is a shadow of what it once was. Considering they were the main competitor for Nintendo back in the day, when you compare where Nintendo is now and what Sega is doing it was not a kind transition for them.

My podcast app, podcast addict for android, is unable to authenticate for the Hotspot RSS. Has anyone else been able to get it running?

I was thinking "NAPPA" was some new nefarious, FEMA-type organization and Vinny was getting dark, until I remembered, "Oh, Anime."

I had a Master System, GameGear and a Megadrive (Genesis) and managed to sell them all for a PS1 and TBH I have no regrets. The PlayStation was just the the dogs during the early 90's and was so glad i never went down the Dreamcast route. From that I had a PS2 and that changed gaming for me, even now my console of chose will always be PlayStation over Microsoft but the 360 was a damn good platform and the deals they have on the PC now is good but i will always defer to Sony for my consoles.

It's a commonly held belief that the Saturn was designed to only do 2D and it sucked at 3D polygons, but it's not really based in truth if you look at the hardware and what Sega was putting out themselves on the Saturn. It got some bad ports for sure which probably fueled this rhetoric but if you look at games like Panzer Dragoon, Daytona USA, and Sega Rally they were just as good as what was on the Playstation at the time.
