Considering the length of time between Bombcast's would also be interesting to hear your predictions on who you think is going to be promoted to main roster (and also no mention of 2/3s of 3MB being let go, Sin Cara etc!)

I am adding another commenting pointing out that Brock Lesnar does indeed rule. Also, that Dan is totally correct and Brock should hoard the title until AT LEAST WrestleMania.

Lesnar is a monster, I do agree. But the F-5 is such a horrible finisher.

Oh, and also WWE really needs to get rid of that freaking butterfly belt.

Jeff's reaction to Bo Dallas is basically the perfect reaction. What a heel.

Lesnar is boring...he has 0 mic skills...he has 0 in ring charisma...everyone knows Undertaker basically gave out in the match so Lesnar "beating" the Undertaker just ticks the fans off giving him the wrong king of heat. I don't get the appeal of Lesnar. I could name you 10 better wrestlers who would be more interesting than Lesnar in the title run, or owning it.

You know what would be good? Lesnar looks like he's going to beat Cena...Sting then drops down from the rafters and Scorpion Deathdrops Lesnar allowing Cena to win. This puts Lesnar out for months. Cena goes to shake Sting's hands and Sting Scorpion Deathdrops Cena.

Kurt Angle was great. His promos were great, his mic work was great, and his in ring work was amazing.

The British Bulldogs would regularly defend their tag titles in two out of three falls matches, FYI.

Jeff, you're the only sane one in the Powerbombcast. Bo Dallas is literally the worst. Like, horrendous. DDP and Simon Dean both did characters like that WAY better.

When you said "Rock-n-Sock Connection" I thought for a second it was a Rock-Santino tag team.

Had to pause to make this comment on the Jericho/Christian "bet" over Lita/Trish:

Jericho and Christian were heels at this time. I don't think the show was promoting the idea that this is how you treat women, or that this kind of behaviour is endorsed. If anything, the fact that Trish aids Christian in defeating Jericho and then metaphorically stomping on Jericho's nads only serves to underline that.

I will not defend the evening gown/bra and panties/pillow fights though. Those were just terrible and I was embarrassed to watch those. Hell, at several points I had to leave the room during those days whenever that shit was on TV.

That was because in the UK wrestling was banned in the 30s because it quickly turned into Hardcore Wrestling. So when Admiral-Lord Mountevan brought it back he had most matches work on a best two out of three fall basis.

It is a cool bit of continuity.

I've been waiting for this! I've gotten back into wrestling since the last Powerbombcast because of you guys. I can't say that I have been enjoying most of what I've seen but WWE has enough talented dudes that I'm enjoying so I can gloss over the stuff that's uninteresting. For instance I could not care less about the state of the Heavyweight title. I feel like their last shot at making the US title worth a damn was to give it Bray Wyatt and feed into an American hillbilly mystic angle who's shepherding a flock of followers in his home country.. Not that that would make sense for the current character but that title now has zero chance of ever being relevant. They might as well unify since they total blew it.

Between all the guys on this podcast I feel like Jeff reflects my exact feelings on the current WWE product perfectly. The lone exception being that I think Bo Dallas is pretty good. I haven't even followed any of his NXT run outside of seeing him return as Mr. NXT in one of the most entertaining segments of wrestling I've seen in a while. Totally no selling against security guards to the point that they had to forcibly hold him with like 3 or 4 dudes at any give time just to get him out of the building. I agree that his face is hard to look at and his voice is hard to listen to. I just think the comedy division of wrestlers in the main roster is sorely lacking good heels at the moment. You have Damien Sandow who is pretty great but totally floundering as a character.

Dan's been slowly becoming my favorite staffer on the gaming side of GB West but he is one of the most delusional wrestling marks I've ever heard. I only hope Giancarlo returns next episode. I like that Zeb is finally targeting Lana, though it is a shame it comes with that old "goldfish memory" wrestling cliche.

WWE missed an opportunity to have them instead come to a truce.

Imagine the HEAT, if Zeb saw eye to eye with Lana in a way of "Yeah, our country USED to be great, and now it's ruined by liberals! I hate to admit it, but Putin is a tougher guy than our President! Lana tells it like it is!" And there are a few weeks where Rusev and Swagger interfere in each others matches to help them win, or get them out of trouble.

Then... when the heat dies down on the "truce", you pull the trigger on the rivalry. Lana takes something too far in a promo. Zeb's all "woah woah woah", and it all comes crashing down from there.

I've seen barely anything from Angle in TNA(except a moonsault off the top of a cage that I can't figure out why he's still doing those) but Angle in WWE, like how can you not like any part of that?

@tournamentofhate: As we said at the top of the show, the Skype machines in our studio weren't functioning, so Jeff had to call me direct over the phone. Hopefully that won't happen again.

I may have said this before but I'm with Jeff 100% on Brock Lesnar. Everything about him makes the WWE look desperate to grab at whatever mainstream appeal their wrestlers ever had and push boring angry hunks of meat to play it safe. I just hope they use Lesnar for all that he's really worth and that's pushing any up and comers.

Kinda disappointed in the lack of chatter about the return of The Miz.

A bit disappointed that they didn't talk about the last PPV. That first 8-man ladder match was rad, and made Seth Rollins look like a total rockstar.

Only makes me wish they did this show more often though. Now that Dan's an employee, what if it were twice a month, once a few days before a PPV and once a few days after?

Agreed, a show the week of the PPV and one the week after (2 RAWs later) would be ideal. They forgot to talk about so much that happened in wrestling on this episode, mainly the mass firings, the weird Emma situation, and I think Sting...

this is the reason for the season. i will happily pay my membership fee as long as the powerbombcast lives on!

Watched the Brock-Goldberg match on YouTube recently. It is an interesting watch to say the least.

EDIT: I'd listen to a whole show about the ECW reboot.

I don't know if me tweeting Alex that intro song a few weeks ago was what led it to be the theme this time, but I never get sick of Animal Crossing Wyatts theme.

Listening to this, i want to try the WWE network. But as it turns out, its not available in my country :-(
