It's a shame that Jeff and Jared had to miss this episode (for understandable reasons. Well, except Jared. Dude is just barely on the show now.) but I'm looking forward to listening to Alex try to wrangle Giancarlo and Dan as they mourn Roman Reigns

Why didn't they bring Danny O Dwyer in on this? Or Drew? They both seem to like wrestling now.

@cooljammer00: Drew doesn't watch any wrestling outside of Hoodslam. Danny would be great, but oh well.

I can't handle Stone Cold talking about LA traffic and how fat he thinks he is.

I agree that commentary was terrible for the PPV (ie Florida Georgia Line interview during a championship match and Cole in general), but Gorilla Monsoon was not that much better :)

@amyggen: Hmm, Drew did mention Stardust on two separate occasions this week. Maybe Dan is converting him very slowly?

Can't wait until the people listening get to the part where Dan talks about how much he spends on Mania tickets.

As long as this podcast doesn't start shilling premium subscriptions because of "gimmicks they send in the mail called bills" I'll stick with it.

I've heard worse. I know people who use more money than that yearly on trips to England to watch soccer (several trips yearly, mind).

The Powerbombardiers talking about some of the worst things ever in professional wrestling (gimmicks, matches, story lines, etc.) is probably my favourite thing about the Powerbombcast.

Gonna need a GB recreation of that image, which in turn makes me want a Bullet Club-style GB shirt.

Bo Dallas: I don't know who to blame for this character flopping on the main roster. We can all agree the biggest problem is that all he does is come out and say "BO-LIEVE". That is all. He used to do fun little things during his winning streak, like the victory lap and post-match promo; but now thats over, and all he does is say "BO-LIEVE"

Is that his fault? Does he have have to pull a CM Punk, and waltz up to Vince with a 6 week storyline, pre-written? Is he allowed to ad-lib AT ALL? Even in these tertiary WWE YouTube things I see, all he does is say his catchphrase.

Or is it creative's fault for being so lazy?

Plus, those packages contain a LOT more than just Mania tickets.

Bo really needs a title to laud his personality in someone's face. Put him against Sheamus or something for a couple of months

He's been eliminated from over the top rope stuff but he hasn't been pinned or submitted which are the only things that are generally counted in an Undefeated Streak.

Ah fair enough, I thought I remembered him picking up a loss early on in his run but I guess my memory is shitting out on me.

Just want to say that this is one of favorite Power Bombcasts you've guys have done so far. A little low key but I enjoyed the small group discussion.

I will say this to @danryckert about Bayley. As you can probably tell from the avatar, I'm a fan and the thing that I really love about her is that she's an actual babyface, which is something the WWE doesn't really have. You have these supposed good guys in the WWE but they never actually come across as good people. People like Ziggler or Cena never fail to take an opportunity to talk about their opponent not having balls or some other stupid shit or attack someone from behind under the pretense of "oh well, the bad guy did it first." Bayley (as well as Sami Zayn) never come across that way. They're characters with an actual code and they stick to it. It's why that Heyman/Cena promo from a couple weeks back rang so false for me because Cena has already gone over to "the other side" time and time again. He's always been a jerk. How many times did he beat up John Laurinaitis for really no reason other than "well, he's a dork"? Bayley and Zayn never do that kind of stuff and it's so refreshing to me.

God damn it.

Here's the end of Goldberg vs Hogan. The WWE Network version has changed his theme music - probably due to licensing - and it's just not the same. The pop when he gets Hogan up for the jackhammer is INSANE and the commentators back it up with a really memorable call, especially Bobby Heenan.

Jared is probably crazy busy at the moment with 2k15 coming out soonish

@dizzyhippos: Jared is at Disneyworld. Though his official reason for no-showing the podcast is that he's been so busy lately with work that he hasn't been able to watch any wrestling on TV. Which is weird, cause I'm pretty sure he posted photos of him at the most recent RAW. Or at least he was at the hotel across from the arena.

I wish wrestling was still like early 90s wcw, every video segment was made with the quality of a FMV game...

and Lesnar is a shitty Goldberg.

So many mixed reactions towards this podcast. Agree with Alex about Dirty Deeds, really evident on Main Event about how bad headlock DDT's are. You can't do them quickly and make them look good, they're the modern day Killswitches. Also Bo Dallas not succeeding on the big stage? He got better reactions on RAW then he did in NXT. He's a corny Tebow-type that gets reactions from crowds. He'll probably end up being a a comedy jobber which kinda sucks but that's all the gimmick really allows for, it's also that he's not being conveyed as a heel that well but he definitely gets reactions.

The issue with NXT is that its a smark crowd like ROH where they just cheer crazily for the product and try to be interactive like those ECW crowds. TNA has been filming in NY and gotten great reactions from the crowd and actually looks like a wrestling product rather then a rehearsal. TNA by the way has been pretty consistently good lately, they give a lot of rope to their guys and they're getting some good characters like EC3.

NoC was great until the Rusev - Henry match when things really dipped in my opinion, and as messy as the finish was in the Lesnar - Cena match, still preferred it over Cena tying Ric Flair's title record.

Really bummed no mention of Destruction in Kobe, really solid PPV with a couple of really really great matches. Need more love for NJPW pls. ;; Seriously, watch NJPW. Pls. I'M BEGGING YOU. HONMA NEEDS MORE LOVE. And AJ Styles of TNA fame had been putting on amazing matches that have been better then almost any match WWE has produced during this year.

The best reason to be a subscriber

Cool to listen to this podcast as a subscriber. I'll be looking forward to it more often and will be ready to help fill in any gaps.

Quick note on something I remembered when I listened to it last week: Kevin Steen just turned 30 this year, so he's not as old as you guys thought (mid-30s, which WWE may not touch). He just looks old, and could stand to lose some weight.

Crap, how did I get through the whole week not realizing the newest Powerbombcast dropped? You know it's a crazy week for wrestling podcasts when I listen to the Endless Promo before this one. No offense to Mat and Corey but the Giant Bomb cast of characters are so good. Having said that, it's unfortunate that Jeff was out since he's probably my favorite part of this content. You guys did a good job being short handed. Thanks for the premium podcast as always.
