Expertise is sorely undervalued, and worse, is rarely taken pleasure in, so the Everlong moment from Alex is a joyful step in the right direction

Holy crap, Alex just keeps setting the bar higher with these. And here I thought the 2112 finale from the Extra Life stream couldn't be topped ...

That encore was incredible, well done Alex!

It’s kind of crazy the sheer amount of talent that has been part of Queens of the Stone Age. Josh Homme, Dave Grohl, Mark Lanegan, Alain Johannes, Nick Oliveri (personal issues aside, though the same might be said about Homme), and Jon Theodore; not to mention contributions from Natasha Shneider, Dean Ween, Trent Reznor, Julian Casablancas, and Elton John(!). Plus you get John Paul Jones if you throw in Them Crooked Vultures as really a QotSA album that Homme didn’t want to break up the band to make.

Back when we regularly played Rock Band 2, Everlong was the white whale in terms of song we all loved but couldn’t gold star because the drums were so intense. Holy shit, man.

My heart was in my mouth by the time Alex made it out of the bridge in Everlong, and into the home stretch. Holy hell, dude.

100% agree with @alex on Matt Cameron. He's a-fucking-mazing. Also if you haven't checked out Ten Commandos, it's a pretty solid side thing he did with Alain Johannes (also a godly musician) and Ben Shepherd.

Man, I haven't played Rock Band in a long time, and all my Xbox 360 stuff is packed up or trashed. I did eventually get a real electronic drum kit, but I doubt I'd be able to just have the brain interface with the 360 easily, and I don't know if there's some sort of PC equivalent to "Rocksmith for Drums".

Mad props to you for the perfect on Everlong. It has been a goal of mine ever since picking up drumming again to just feel comfortable at that speed. 16th notes at 158 BPM for almost an entire song moving around the kit is intense. Never stop smiling!

Well done Alex. I actually shed a tear at the end but I'm an easy cry hehe and Everlong is one of my favorite Foo Fighters songs. Quite some strong tracks on that playlist.

Ohhhh shit, haven't watched yet, but just looking over the song list, this is by far my favorite playlist he's made so far. Thanks Alex!

Congrats on Everlong! I love these streams so much, they're both introducing me to lots of cool new songs and getting me relistening to things I haven't listened to in a while.

This sounds silly but I was punching the air in happiness when you FC'd the last song. You were grinning so wide and it was awesome to see!

Wow! Congrats, from a fellow drummer, on Everlong. That song is a beast but I always love attempting to play it in RB. Hope to one day do it as well as Alex did. Also, completely agree on Matt Cameron being underappreciated. Had a great view of him playing with Soundgarden at The Tabernacle (in Atlanta) in 2012. It was amazing.
