Thursdays (and sometimes Fridays) have been for drumming!

Alex, thank you for the drummin' throughout Lockdown and the charity streams! It has been a weekly joy to be among the hundreds (thousands?!) of viewers on these streams. Long-forgotten jams, whammies, and bangers -- all played live for a global audience by a talented drummer.

If we can all take away something from We Be Drummin', it's that music binds us together as humans. Shared enjoyment or communal displeasure -- it's not important how we individually feel about a particular song. What is important is that a song, when experienced with others, will evoke powerful emotions, and chat will explode with excitement or disdain (sometimes both).

But most importantly we have all learned that Jim Morrison's dad was involved in the Gulf of Tonkin Incident.

Watching the show live it was funny to see how fast the audience was posting, to see what I can only describe as waterfall of gifs and diamonds was super cool. Thank you Alex!

Wish I could have been there live but it was late at night and time for bed.

Pretty sure the old Ride the Lightning video he mentions is the video where I discovered he was a pretty accomplished drummer many, many years ago. Appropriate that he ends with that as well.

Alex's drumming and trucking streams have always been a nice place to chill and relax during the panini, and I'm going to miss them greatly. Thank you so much for keeping it real, @alex. Gonna miss you a ton!

I always dabbled with drums (was a trumpeter during my school days) off and on, but these streams got me to commit like I never had before. Ended up getting a Alesis mesh e-kit and committed to some lessons along with getting back into Rock Band and drumming along with these streams.

Thank you for all the years of entertainment and bringing your love of music (good or bad) to all of us for so long. We will miss you Alex.

nice work on the ghost of perdition, alex. is that one hard because it's so obviously using two pedals, or are you able to deal with the difference between the music and what you're playing pretty easily?
