It is legitimately surreal going from the P4 Endurance Run (which I have been watching, don't ask, I'm not all up in YOUR quarantine business!) directly to this.

ACKSHUALLY, since Mr. Jeff Gerstmann (@jeff) mentioned it, the guy who wrote The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Douglas Adams) was the show-runner for a few seasons of Doctor Who.
(And the book was originally a radio-play).

The problem with successful old systems is stuff gets ported to them should never have been, then being high profile titles, those are what people pick out to play, and see how bad it is.

I have just finished rewatching their endurance run of Deadly Premonition and have come to the conclusion that I would pay good money just to see them in videos together more.

Perhaps the Atari ST was a regional thing - I knew several different people with one when I was a kid here in the UK. Though to be fair, one of those was my cousin, who had pretty much everything (BBC Micro, Acorn Electron, IBM compatible, Amiga, Atari ST, some Pong clone, an ancient PC with a dot matrix printer that had an incredibly sensitive sensor to detect when its cover was open...)

As far as I'm concerned, the main distinguishing feature of the Atari ST was its cool slanted function keys:

Also, as far as I can remember that weird stretched high resolution mode did look like that on the monitor. I guess doubling resolution in both directions would probably be too big of a performance hit to be worthwhile.

I played a ton of Wizards and Warriors 2 starring Fabio. Is it just as bad? At the time I had no understanding that games could even be bad so surely my time back then was well spent.

Jeff + Vinny + Old games is probably my favorite possible content combination. I wish so badly that this was a regular thing.

I had - and still have - an Atari 520 STe. I pulled it out of the attic a few months ago and booted it up for the first time in god knows how long - worked perfectly.
