So for reasons unknown this HD remake collection of SH2 and SH3 is, for some fucked up reason, exclusive to PS3. Since both original games were also released to the original Xbox it makes even less sense to me. Have anyone heard the reasons behind this? I'm seriously considering picking up a PS3 for this title alone. =/

I went with that theory as well, but the other two HD collections that were revealed in the same press release (MGS and Zone of Enders) are both coming to the X360 along with PS3. The Silent Hill collection was the only one Sony apparently didn't want X360 owners to enjoy. :(

it's not a big deal to me as I have all the consoles. All these re-releases in HD titles seem to majority be on PS3. Granted most were PS2 titles so far but... ya I don't know. It is weird but maybe it's just because they don't want to code it?

No. No. No. It's called money. Either Sony paid them exclusivity rights, which could be a part of it, but the more likely reason is Konami did the research and found it wouldn't be worth bringing them over the 360.

Either that or the rights to one of them is owned by Sony. Same reason MGS isn't part of the Metal Gear HD thing.

It's all about the paper, if Sony paid enough I'm sure they could get a Mario cameo someplace.

Cause money? Plus PS3 has been having other collections that also appeared on Xbox like the PoP collection.

Ignoring the original Xbox for a moment, SH 2, 3, and 4 appeared on the PC. So there's no apparent reason why they couldn't be ported to the 360.

There's a lot the PS3 has to offer, a bunch of great exclusives on top of the Silent Hill Collection. It would be a good investment. =D

Cause of the money Sony is giving to them to push it out on PS3.
