    Overview

    The SimTower franchise (known in Japan as The Tower) is a series of games in which the player takes on the role of a manager in charge of building a successful tower.

    The first game in the series is SimTower, which was called The Tower in Japan. The follow-up to SimTower was called Yoot Tower (known in Japan as The Tower II) and was named after the games designer, Yoot Saito.

    There were two follow-ups on handhelds, the first of which is The Tower SP for the Game Boy Advance platform. The Tower SP was an enhanced port of the original The Tower, but with elements from The Tower II added. The Tower SP was the first game in the series released in North America to use The Tower name.

    The last game in the series is The Tower DS and was released for the Nintendo DS platform. The Tower DS was only released in Japan.
