    SkiFree

Game » consists of 2 releases. Released Dec 01, 1991

SkiFree is a popular game created in the early 90s in which players ski down an endless ski slope while attempting to avoid obstacles and earn points until inevitably being chased by yetis.

This is the most deserving game for a remake ever.

You remember Ski Free, right? Pretty kickass free Windows game you'd always play in class if your school wasn't badass enough to have Oregon Trail or its bastardized cousin Amazon Trail. Good memories, right? This is especially true since you can totally get more recent versions for free at the more or less official site for it, too.

This brings me to the best idea I've ever had: What if this game was remade in Unreal Engine 3?

Think about it, especially if Epic took the development reigns. We could finally understand what it would be like to see Marcus Fenix run down those slopes, doing simplistic flips and running away from the yeti all the while. And best of all, it would be in glorious... polygons.

Who's with me on this one? I'd say it's a more likely game to come to fruition that Duk- nah, you know, I won't go there.

Is this the game where the Yeti would come out of nowhere and eat your ass?  I loved this game when I was a kid!

Maybe not a game by itself, but this mode or setpiece should be implemented into Gears of War 3.  Maybe it could even be played via online multiplayer.

As long as I can still escape the Yeti by holding F, then I want that remake now.

Getting completely destroyed by the unstoppable yeti with the power of the Unreal Engine 3 would be kick ass.

@Snipzor: You fool!  There is no escaping the yeti.  There is only momentary sanctuary before inevitable annihilation.

Mastes of Orion IMO is most deserving of a complete overhaul.
The game play is still applicable today, but a sleek graphical universe would just enhance all of the detail in the game.

They should use two Tony Hawk Ride boards (one for each foot) as the controls for the game.

Is the idea in your statement a possessive idea (and if so, what exactly is an "are" and how does an idea possess such a thing), or do you just like botching the English language by saying, "Your [noun] is are [adjective]"?

On the bright side, you used the proper "your" for once.

The topic is wrong. The game that deserves a remake the most is Custer's Revenge.

They should remake it, and then remake that and call it Ski Three.

I was just about to jokingly say that "perhaps they should do it in Unreal Engine 3" and then found out that the author actually suggested that in his original post >.>
