For a game that seems to be made for coomers, it sure doesn't have a lot of legs.

Ah, SNK Heroines. I had some hopes for this game, and I'm not really sure why.

Maybe, in my head, I thought that they would simply make a game that feels like King of Fighters, but with an all-female cast. That was not the case.

What you end up getting here is a watered down SNK fighter, where many of the fights end up feeling the same. I can understand why the fighting was watered down, to some degree. This game was made with coomers in mind...and it's supposed to be kinda funny and quirky, but it just didn't quite land in that territory for me. Had it just been a KOF-style fighting game, with 2-on-2 tag team fights, I would have been fine with this. Probably not enough to give this a 4 out of 5, but I would walk away from this game with more satisfaction. However, even if the fighting didn't force you to use Dream Finishes to win, it wouldn't change the fact that this game just doesn't have that much content.

It initially came with 14 playable characters, and then came the 4 DLC characters. That's not a lot of characters - the costumes are cute and in some cases, very hot, but I wanted more characters in here. There's also a total of 7 stages. Again, not a lot of content here, and I frankly, didn't care much for the stages. You're supposed to keep playing the game to unlock accessories for the head, back, legs, etc. - but do you really want to? I don't think this game gives you enough reason to keep playing for a long time.

There's a story mode and it's silly, but that honestly isn't very relevant to the game. There's cheesy, perverse humor, which is about what I expected from a game like this.

Aside from that, there isn't much to say. You got a story mode, versus mode, online, and not much more. The soundtrack manages to be somewhat forgettable, even though it does feature some remixes of classic songs from the past. Ultimately, the simplistic approach they took with the gameplay, and the lack of content ended up hurting the experience. The silly sound effects and hit sparks added to attacks just feel like they're trying so hard to be quirky with this. It's just not enough with this game. Unless you get it on some kind of discount. Who knows? At that point, you may even be pleasantly surprised.
