Kinda Tedious 0
Square, this generation, has been awfully shitty. Infinite Undiscovery was horrible and Last Remnant, honestly, wasn't appreciably better. So, I was, admittedly, a little concerned about Star Ocean.SO: TLH, however, is the best JRPG on the market. It beats out Tales of Vesperia and Eternal Sonata with room to spare. The biggest plus for the game is that there is, literally, ALWAYS something to do. You can pursue the main storyline missions if you'd so like to do so, but there are hundred...

Escape from Reality 2
For me this game has been a true escape from reality. As a big fan of the JRPG experience, the Star Ocean series has always been one of my favorites. While playing through many of the others, with TOV being one of my favs, I KEEP on coming back to SOTLH. Surprisingly Deep Game 0
Star Ocean TLH may have an interesting story. I'm not sure because I stopped paying attention to it around halfway through. The English dub work is without a doubt the most poorly acted mess this generation. Probably last generation too. Think "Jill Sandwhich" repeated over and over for 40 or so hours. That being said, the combat is engaging and the game is deep. I've sunk over 170 hours into one playthrough at this point, and there's still much to accomplish. It may not be a great RPG, b...

Ruined potential 0
Disclaimer: I'm writing this review a couple of weeks after returning the game, and there are some minor spoilers. Alright, so I made the stupidass mistake of subscribing to a Movie Gallery, rather than GameFly. But one of the games i happened to rent, was in fact, Star Ocean: The Last Hope. Being bored out of my mind that week, I played the shit out of this game... for about 3 days, and was torturing/drowning myself in mixed reactions all the way up until a certain point, which I will get to...
