    Dude a tip for space battle micromanagment :  (quoted from some random site)

    In order to get weapons to auto fire, it must be in the hotbar, which it is by default. Right click on the weapon you want to be in autofire mode and the button will turn green. It will now fire at your target without having to push the button for it. You still have to activate it by using the attack, but after that it will do it's own thing.

    This should greatly help in your problems with micromanagment in space battles! Set phasers to autofire, then focus on shields, position and torpedos!!!

    Also, press C when on foot to aim, causing more damage. Read this Brad.  :P

    I still think that they should "just" hook up 3 keyboards and devise the tasks like in a "real" space ship.

    I agree, the MMO part would be more imedded into the experience if each player didnt have their own ship, but played one of 3 roles to command the ship, kind of like the guys discussed.

    @Anthony: Well with some mates on vent or inbuilt voice chat restricted to ships it would be totally awesome, like a well organised dungeon or scenario party (battlegrounds i think its called in wow? Excuse the warhammer terms). But yeh with the average pug.... it would suck balls.

    @gakon5:

    Yeh if they had gone that way, obviously the jobs could be more complex.

    Also, dont really understand the mariokart comparison.... you had one button to fire weapons in that, not 10 or more, you dont have to divert power to different parts of your shields, you dont have to lock on to your enemies at all, and most of all... a kart seats what... one person? a starship hundreds.

     What im suggesting would be more close to the reality of manning a space ship...

    I'd want to be the guy arbitrarily pushing buttons on a console.

    Anyway, this right click to auto fire thing is going to be a lifesaver. I must have clicked on the phasers button a thousand times last night.
