My Experience
I originally had this in my blog, but I think it's useful here for people who are thinking about buying the game or having similar frustrations.
"Three things about this game that are beyond frustrating."
- Falling to your death, usually from no fault of your own.
- Those tall Grey Stormtroopers. Seriously, just fuck off with your bullshit attacks.
- Targeting. If you've played this game you know exactly what I mean.
I hear you, this is truth.
yeah, this is an extremely aggrivating game and a lot of the time it doesn't seem to 'fair' with the way the AI is. Demilich put it best, those 3 problems sum up my experience good. I enjoyed the game, but once I beat it I knew I'd never go back to playing it again, it just wasn't worth the stress.
"Three things about this game that are beyond frustrating.Godamn, so true. This game is broken beyond belief, the fact that I have to load EVERYTIME I die, even if I just started and was pushed off to my death by no fault of my own... gah."

What I hate most is when they knock you down, its impossible to get up because those aholes just keep hitting you or doing attacks that continue to knock you down.
And the menus... oh man... this game is seriously poorly designed. Even when it comes to cut-scenes, they never come in smoothly, its always abrupt.
But I'm really liking the story and the graphics are pretty.
I beat the game last night, and I remember one really funny moment. I wasn't even angry, I just laughed.
I was in the Death Star, where you have to avoid the beams. I died and respawned in the middle of the pathway. While the game was loading I could hear "Cooldown complete, firing laser in 5... 4...". By the time I could take control again it was too late.
I finished the game on Apprentice and will start on a harder setting today. My thinking right now is that Apprentice is how the game is meant to be played for the first time. It doesn't give you the tools to defeat the other difficulties right from the start. This may be how they're pitching their game's longevity.
if TFU is anything like the latest Star Wars films, I'm staying far, far away. I just tried watching the third film tonight and my god, there were at least 4 fatal flaws within the first 20 minutes, and I had to shut it off. R2D2 incinerating droids with fire? Anakin and Obi Wan fighting to maintain their grip when the ship's cabin depressurizes and in the next scene they're running around with their lightsabers with no explanation to how they rescued themselves? Obi Wan having a massive section of walkway collapse on him and then up and walking about as if nothing happened five minutes later? I guess I'll never be a Star Wars fan unless I get that lobotomy my doctor keeps recommending.
"Three things about this game that are beyond frustrating. They should just put those on the box."
