    George Lucas, creator of the Star Wars universe, has announced that the 6-film saga will be released on blu-ray Fall 2011. The set will include never before seen footage and extras. Extra scenes include a never before seen look at where luke skywalker in ROTJ is constructing his second lightsaber with the force.

    Thanks for the old info... and btw I love Empire and A New Hope but Star Wars in general sucks.

    No I'm saying in general I feel the series sucks. A New Hope was fantastic and showed the world that George Lucas had a very interesting story to tell filled with interesting characters. Those characters continued their exciting journey during Empire Strikes Back showing us that the world of Star Wars was not all fluffy and shiny and evil could prevail. Now keep in mind those 2 fantastic movies and what came next was Return of the Jedi... the film that showed us all Lucas cared about was toys and merchandise. Yes everyone complains about the Ewoks in the last film and although they weren't great they were not the worst part. Lucas wanted to sell toys and thats it. People that worked with him years ago even admit, Gary Kurtz the producer of the first 2 films and arguably Lucas' main collaborator admits this. I don't want to go into the current state of Star Wars, prequels and cartoon shows selling action figures, but even back in 1983 the series turned pathetic.  
     
    EDIT: DO NOT GET OFFENDED THIS IS JUST MY OPINION ON THE FRANCHISE.

    Lucas better put the fucking 'Yub-Nub' song back into the end of Jedi. But then who am I kidding? His hard-on for ILM post effects has meant he can fuck with those films to his hearts content. To be honest I wouldn't be surprissed if he edits out Harrison Ford for Shia LaBouf for the Blu-ray.

    yeah...I would only ever get 4-6.
    As Well i'll wait another 5-10 years, when george lucas will release the ultimate, omega, alpha remake remastered blu ray editions.
    The same with the lord of the rings, the same will happen.
