I havent played starcraft and watching the starcraft 2 video made me want to try the original.  Is it still worth it over 10 years later?

The game is great; remains one of the best RTS games, even this many years later. However, the graphics may be a little hard to get past, being locked at such a low resolution as they are. Your field of view will be more limited than you're probably used to with modern RTS games.

This is among, if not the best, RTS out there.  I mean there is a reason why this is practically South Korea's national sport.

its outdated, the mp has a lot of rushing and pros, but staredit is greatness and the campaign rocks

Don't get overwhelmed, though. Just have fun. Messing around with UMS (Use Map Settings, in other words custom maps) is really fun too.

This doesn't mean you're expected to be a pro, but just incase you're not aware of the hardcore side of StarCraft, here it is. As C2C mentioned, it's pretty big in Korea.
