On the giantbomb cast they said it was on vita but I can't find anything about it online. If I buy it on ps4 can I play it on the vita?

I immediately went to the PSN store once I heard that on the bombcast and it doesn't seem to actually exist? Usually crossbuy games will say so in the game description and I didn't see it for Stardew Valley.

No, it's not on Vita. Interest was expressed on porting it but there are no official plans.

They do indeed. I just noticed that myself.

I know they announced they were working on a Vita port, hoping to have it out in 2016. But alas, only the console versions.

That's weird. I would hope this would have gotten ported to Vita. Seems like a perfect game to revive that handheld for some people. I know that would probably be my preferred way to play it.

Been playing it through remote play on the vita and that works just fine. Obviously a real port would be much preferred.

@cyberbloke: That's pretty much a guarantee that a Vita version is planned and has been worked on at some point.

I think it'll probably come over at some point next year.

As others have said, the developer has expressed real interest in getting it on the vita.

Same thing with Destiny, i assume someone clicked a box they shouldn't have when adding those trophies.

If this comes out on Vita with cross buy and cross saves I'm fucking sold and will buy it day one. I am holding off on it for that very reason.

@lego_my_eggo: actually Destiny, neither 1 or 2 has ever had the vita tag on it, ps4 and ps3 yes, because the trophy list is cross-platform (the first) but never a vita tag. The only games I have that have a vita tag are ones I can actually play on vita too, even if it isn't cross buy, but one trophy list. Unlike Stardew Valley, which STILL says Vita, and hasn't been corrected. I still hope it comes to vita.

A number of people have been curious about the PS Vita port we mentioned way back in January, and I’m happy to announce that a PS Vita port is actually happening! It’ll be available next year, and it’ll have cross-buy too, so if you’ve got Stardew Valley on Playstation 4 you won’t need to buy it again to play it on your PS Vita! However, it’s worth noting that we can’t port the multiplayer update to PS Vita.
