Look for him in next year's 'Super Street Fighter vs. Ultra Tekken' as one of the 5 new characters.

I think box-art Megaman is kind of there to play that role. He certainly looks the part.

Just make a Dan palette.

He is the in tutorial in the game. I'm kinda glad he isn't playable though. Would rather have a different/interesting character then him. Sure he is great and all, but it's kinda dumb wasting a character slot for a character you know wont be a great character.

Yeah he is the teacher character, which is pretty funny if you think about it, but considering Ryu, Ken, Akuma, and Sagat, not to mention the cat Toro which is basically this games Dan, are already in the game, I don't really mind him missing from a gameplay perspective. Combine that with his inclusion in training mode, I'm fine with it.

Why does this joke character make it into so many real games in the first place?

I main Dan in SSFIV, so I would love to have him in SFxT.

I think it's funny that Capcom made a bad character as a joke, but Dan himself is not very funny. I won't miss him.

I also main Dan and I do it for 2 reasons, one because he technically has all the same tools as any Shoto and two because he brings a certain type of reaction to your opponent from the moment they see him in the VS screen. Whether it be laughter, anger, aggression, happiness etc. He has a way of getting into your opponents head and especially with his taunts. You play a ranked match and see your opponent pick a Ken or a Ryu you almost dont acknowledge it. But above all of this Dan is a very strong character, his health is high as well as his damage. He has 2 options for cross-ups, great resets, armor breaking knee, armor breaking ex dankaku, his super taunt acts as a link to any super/ultra, his ultra 1 has almost no startup time and goes through projectiles and his ultra 2 has easy fadc setups. If you are a strong player in general you can use what people think are his downfalls as advantages to you. I am extremely upset he is not in the game and I hope they re-think this and put him in eventually as DLC.

Don't worry, Sakura and Blanka will avenge him when they get into the game :D

Dan is probably wherever all your capitol letters ended up.

Still don't understand that argument. Dan is still a really good fighter it's about knowing how to play him. I don't care about his personality. I like the way he plays. Yeah he is worse than most other characters, but that just makes it more fun for me to own Akuma's with my Dan in SF4.

I thought Dan vs. Lei was pretty obvious though.

I did not mean literally never. I meant play him seriously. Which very few people do, why bother when Ryu or Sagat have all the same tools but better.

It's because this game is serious it's so serious that the killed Dan! that's right he's dead for ever!* (woudn't that be cool that some figters could actually die)

*No Dans were harmed during Street Fighter X Tekken

Dan is actually not as bad as some people assume. His dragon punch has high priority and so does his flying knee. Well, at least it did when I use to play SSFIV, maybe they changed a bunch of stuff with patches. Dan is cool, but... if we were talking about where is Q!!!??!!!???

I could get behind that.

Blanka isn't even in the game, how would they put Dan in?

Blanka is DLC.

Crimson Viper is no where to be seen which is pretty shocking considering how popular she is.
