I understand the chat being full of folks who are really into street fighter. But man, the whole "learn to play" and the hater comments are starting to grate on my mind as an adult. WHY WHY WHY does the street fighter community (not all of course, the boards here are relatively cool) have to be elitist a-holes. That will not increase the mass appeal of the game. WHICH IS WHAT YOU WOULD WANT, if you want a really good and (hell maybe profitable) tournament scene.
Its aggravating because a good street fighter game is one of the only watchable competitive video-games ever. But the general community always has to get attacked by a vicious circle of maniacs who live to put other down for not knowing something like frame advantage.

Kudos to the Bombers, this was a nice surprise event, watched the whole of it and was hooked. I'll definitely buy SSFIV, thanks for showing us so much of it.

Well, I play fighting games, read shoryuken.com and so on, but that's not how you end up like that. If you watch people play like the giantbomb guys did and then your brain makes the assumption that you will get an answer to sagats short forward cancel range or that you will see a FADC combo with rose, then you are just stupid.
Please people, lets not start using derogatory terms like 'friends against grenade spam' to describe morons on the internet. Lets use better words like, idiot, moron, prat and so forth :)
why do they only put up a portion of the stream as an actually video on giantbomb? first off, its higher res, and believe it or not, alot of people simply dont have good enough internet for streaming videos (me included, unless i want to wait for a buffer every 30 seconds)
Damn, I was at work, this is my most anticipated game by far. I really wish they put up the entire stream in addition to the high res stuff, I'd love to see the guys play some street fighter

They did not, I am not even sure anyone from the staff can make a decent 3 or more hits combo.
@Stang: I don't think so. It was more like a kick the tires on the game, goof around in the menus, what do the new characters look like, what can you mash out right away, thing. I am sure someone soon will post a video with exactly these types of answers in it soon.
reading about the horrible chat here, I went on SRK to check some comments from last night and DAMN... dont get me wrong, we are all nerds in some way, comes with the territory, but comments like "WHY ARE THEY STREAMING THIS SHIT THEY ARE AWFUL WASTE OF TIME" make me imagine the cliche, "simpsons comic book guy" style full blown nerd.
I missed it :( and yeah, despite loving the game there are those in the community (read: long-time fighting game enthusiasts) who can be total dicks when it comes to other people just playing the game. Not everyone wants to see high level play in a game test (there are plenty of other videos like that floating around).
I think i was either studying or taking a final when this happened. damn missed it.
Those SRK folks are prob just salty with envy that other people are playing it before them. I know when I first saw this thread I had another "Damn its would have been so good to be Jeff right now" moments. Same thing could be said of the Starcraft/RTS hardcore ppl when they saw the SC2 beta stream.
Quite frankly no video is going to satisfy this hype other than playing it myself.

Anyone that gets that into a hobby tends to sound like comic book guy, it can't be helped. The difference is that SRK users are all dicks on top of that.
Some of the comments attacking the Bomb crew for the way they played is exactly why I fecking hate most Street Fighter players, they act all high and mighty yet come across like total douches. Not saying all Street Fighter players are like that at all, in fact I know a few very helpful and fun Street Fighter fans, but sadly some of you are total twats.
