I love the Syphon Filter games for the PSP. I haven't heard of any announcement regarding a new Syphon Filter game, do you know if there is one in development or what?

A brief Google search brings up only rumors.  I'd say it's a likelihood, I played Dark Mirror on the PSP.  Holy moses was the story bad in that one; I was literally laughing at the end after credits rolled.  i played the demo for Logan's Shadow, and gameplay wise it feels like an improvement.  I could go for a PS3 game, even if the story continues to be a consolidation of what appears to be a writer's attempt at melding Rambo with James Bond.

Imagine a PS3 Syphon Filter. O_O

i just the other day bought Logan's Shadow for the PSP. it is an awesome game and one for the PS3 would be amazing. add that to the list of the million other great IPs  Sony owns but doesn't have the resources to take advantage of. eventually though...

I loved SF2, right up there with the best PS1 games I played and then they fucked up the series. It literally was a middle point between SC and MGS.

2009 annoucment. Although, I've never been much for Syphon Filter. Splinter Cell too. Although the new one running on the Assassin's Creed engine could be interesting. I don't get why it's exclusive even though it'll probably only be a timed one.

I hope Conviction is a timed exclusive. I was pissed when I heard that it wasn't coming out on the PS3. I had Double Agent for PS3 but sold it a while ago, I regret it and am thinking of buying it again since it's only like $25 or something like that.

Meh, the older ones weren't all that special to me.

Syphon filter are pretty fun, they had some low spots like 3 and omega strain but 1 and 2 were fun as well as the PSP titles. LS and DM.

I would def play another SF game. waiting for SF2 to be released on PSN...

ReTarDedFisHy wasn't much of a fan of the stories, but when it came to the gameplay, SF is one of the best. So simple, yet so effective. That said, I haven't heard news of any SFs being released on the PS3, not even rumors, it seems they're focused on the PSP. I don't blame them though, Dark Mirror and Logan's Shadow were some of the best SFs.

If anything it would come out late 09, or first half of 2010.. Along with GoW3.

On the Full Moon Show (Insomniac's podcast) they interviewed the guys making Resistance PSP, who also made Syphon Filter PSP.
They asked "The next Syphon Filter: PSP or PS3?" and they didn't give a definite answer. Or any answer for that matter.
My guess? Yeah it's coming to the PS3 after Resistance PSP.
