The ''truest'' of roguelikes
While it might lack shine and style like spelunky or risk of rain , this is a massive time sinker and a joyfully frustrating adventure, while myself i haven't beaten the game yet every new area beaten felt like a huge success, the game is semi-randomly generated meaning that The Boss of X area is always the same but the loot and enemies/traps etc. in the area are randomly generated. It's a simple game by being a mainly mouse driven game (you can use wasd if you're into that sort of thing). There are plenty of classes/races/sub specs for many things and everything feels quite balanced (for a randomly generated game that is). The game consists of a Legend Of Zelda 2 style overmap with random encounters and plenty of locations to wreck your butthole if you're underleveled. The game lack's a few things like a real online mode (you can chat for tip's and other sneaky ways to cheese out the game,if the chat ain't trollin you that is). This was my first ''roguelike'' alongside Dungeons of Dredmor , it clearly lacked the style of DoD but it didn't lack the complexity and by god does it have variety in classes. If you though that DoD was easy and quite monotone , this son,is a game for YOU! 10/10 or whatever kids rate games these days .
