Overview
Tamori no Picross was a puzzle game developed by Jupiter (with Ape) and released digitally by Nintendo for the Super Famicom via Satellaview exclusively in Japan from April 23, 1995 to September 2, 1995, with later re-broadcasts until March 1996.
A sequel to the Game Boy game Mario's Picross, Tamori no Picross featured daily nonogram puzzles. Player could play current and previous puzzles using the same hint-based system as Mario's Picross, and can attempt upcoming puzzles using the traditional no-hint system (as "homework").
Named for Japanese celebrity Tamori, it was intended that the game be played alongside broadcasts of his weekly 10-minute radio show Sabachiichi College: Tamorosu Hakase no Sunday Seminar ("Sabachiichi College: Dr. Tamorosu's Sunday Seminar") using the system's radio functionality.
Much of the game's assets were later used in Mario no Super Picross, released shortly after the end date of the original broadcast. Due to the nature of Satellaview games, it is difficult to track down all information regarding its broadcasts and puzzles.
