Hi all!

I've recently been having massive problems with the Mac (yes, Mac...) version of TF2. It crashes, locks up, freezes, and doesn't even let me connect to ANY online games.

So, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix all the problems I've been having?

No idea, same thing has happened to a few people over at Gametrailers, myself included. I tried re-installing, clearing the cache, checking the integrity of it, nothing. It crashes when I try to connect to any game, and also when I check any class's load out from the main items menu. Hopefully Valve realizes that they just killed the Mac side of TF2 and fixes it!

I'm downloading a patch that's just been released for the game now via Steam, hopefully this will sort out the many issues!

I haven't ever encountered a hitch with the Mac version of Team Fortress 2, which sort of surprises me considering how poorly optimized games often are for Apple's OS.

Alright, I applied the update, I couldn't get into any online games (same bug as before), so I started up an offline bot match, and then it crashed, but not just the game, the entire OS just froze, leaving the only way for me to restart the computer was to take the power out and plug it back in again. This is really, really odd.

Yea, the same thing happens to me, as soon as I connect to a game it crashes and I have no idea how to fix it, I don't know if reinstalling will do anything and I haven't found any solution elsewhere.

Have you validated your game files and defragged your game cache via steam ?

Try opening up the server browser as soon as you start the game and hit "Stop Refresh". Sometimes a modem or router can get too many pings and fuck up.

I cant connect to any custom server , "CRC couldnt connect maps"
