Unboxing certain crates in Team Fortress 2 gives you a "strange" version of an existing weapon. The only thing special about these weapons is that they track the number of kills you get with them (which is pretty sweet in and of itself, actually) and that their names change as their number of kills increases.
 
I don't spend a hell of a lot on keys, usually, but I thought this would be fun and decided to pop open a few crates a day or so ago. I must have been pretty lucky as I got exactly what I wanted; a pair of Strange Gloves of Running Urgently to replace my existing pair, and a Strange Minigun (already my weapon of choice as the Heavy). Obviously the gloves are going to take a while to upgrade, but my minigun is already known as Notably Dangerous.
 
Anyone else got "strange" weapons and what are your their ranks?

I had a lot of money to waste so I got a bunch of keys and opened a bunch of crates. I got one of all the strange items and an unusual hat! My highest ranked is my rocket launcher at 361 kills. I believe that its called a "Gore-Splattered Rocket Launcher".

I'm glad they finally added something arguably worth buying keys for, those unusual hats are so rare.

But I've gotta say, Strange weapons were a hell of a good idea, market-wise. I'd stopped opening crates for a bit after I had all the hats I wanted (and kept getting fucking paints), but Stranges definitely piqued my crate interest again. Hoping for a Strange Scattergun in the next crate series.

@BombKareshi: Really? I looked through the Crates and it seems they only had Scout, Pyro and Spy weapons as Strange.

@BombKareshi: I'm intriqued. What are you looking for those items? I've got #20, #21 and #23 crates, which should be strange droppers and a few duplicate weapons. Here's everything. Page 4 is duplicate weapons and page five is crates.

I got an the houndog instead of a new strange weapon, yet, I am somehow disappointed.

You sick bastards had to make a post about this. I read what these strange weapons were all about after avoiding them and I just dropped 5 bucks for 2 keys. Luckily I got a strange minigun and a strange natacha. It's at "Wicked Nasty" for my strange Sticky Launcher which I find amazing as I've only had it for two weeks. I'm currently looking for a strange Grenade Launcher to complete my Demo's set. Its funny, hats I've kinda had my fill of but just them adding a counter to one of my favorite weapons drew me back into the collection madness.

I have a Positively Inhumane Shotgun (750+ kills).

I have Uncharitable Natascha 100+ Kills

My minigun is now known as Face-Melting, and still going strong.
 
I'm holding out for some Strange Medic weapons. Hopefully crate series #26 or #27 will carry it.

My Eyelander is Gore Splattered. I hate it because it makes me want to play Demoknight all the time. I'm no good at Demoknight.
