    Overview

Tenchō no Igo is a virtual go game published by Mainichi Communications for the PC in Japan on September 18, 2009.

It is an official adaptation of the AI thinking engine "Zen", which was known then as the first Japanese-made Go engine to win a world championship (the 14th Computer Olympiad).

It received multiple sequels from 2010 (with Tenchō no Igo 2) to 2017 (with Tenchō no Igo 7 Zen), with each iteration improving on its AI engine. It also received conversions for the PlayStation Portable (on October 28, 2010) and PlayStation 3 (on July 14, 2011).
