So, Oblivion is a pretty old game at this point but I still get the urge to start a new game with new mods every now and then. Recently I've run into a little problem.

I started a new game, got out of the sewers, did a few quests and quit out. Today, I loaded up the game, got back into my old save and died. When I tried to load the old save again, the game crashed. I tried it again only I tried quickloading instead, the game crashed again. I can't load an old save while I am in the game or it just crashes. I can play as long as I want and save and everything, but I can't load any old saves. It's really starting to get annoying, does anyone happen to know of any fixes for this?

I can provide the load order for my mods if it's necessary, I just didn't want the OP to look like a wall of text.

PC or 360?

I had some trouble when I played on the PC version too. There's a patch out there that fixes a fair amount of the glitches I think, but it wouldn't actually install for me.

Do you have a mod manager installed?

You will have to play the game straight through without saving in one day.
