Is this game better (experience wise) on PC/Steam? I have it for the 360 - and don't get me wrong, it's amazing, but there are a bunch of patches that anyone can download, it's easier to buy and use, the graphics and sound are better, and there are console commands in the computer versions. It seems like having all that and more on a PC/Mac would be better and more convenient. Which do you guys think is better?

@Vonocourt:  Yeah, I didn't think so, but the game's a platinum hit on Xbox, so I thought I'd try.

PC is the obvious answer, but for some reason I play Bethesda games on my 360. I think the main reason is that I like to stand up while I game on a console (there was a period of time where I didn't have a chair in my room so I just got use to it), so I feel less guilty about plunging hours into it. Also those games waste entire days of my life. If I could use mods my life would be over.

Well, I played it on 360 due to my pc situation...but I may rebuy it on PC once I build my new one.

    And yes, PC wins.

High end? It's a 4 year old game. I ran this on a Pentium 4, 1GB RAM and a an X1900XT back when it was released at its highest settings.

What I've heard Oblivion runs on any machine made in the last couple of years, even netbooks, as long as they don't use Intel GMA/Mobile Express graphics.

Any low-end integrated ATi or NVidia card should do.
