oblivion review
oblivion is a great game along with great graphics, controls, loads of content such as towns, cities, forts, shrines, ruins, campsites, dungeons, caves etc for you to indulge and explore. and there are four guilds for you to join and complete quests. but to be honest i only have really liked the dark brotherhood, thieves guild, and random side quests. i find myself only trying to complete the main, fighters, mages guild just so i can say i have completed them. the levelling up system up is stupidly intricate and not very user friendly. and for you to level up rather than normally in rpg games you go and explore and kill npcs to gain xp to gain new skills etc. it practically forces you to go to a place of safety and solace to hone your skills. for example to gain your blade skill you will need to find lets say a mudcrab and slash it to pump up that skill, or casting a spell over and over again to level that. and with all that for me personally i cant enjoy the game till im like level 25-30. which takes a long time. but with fallout 3 you can just go out there and explore and kill to gain xp, and when you have the selected amount you level up. and in oblivion i think theres the element of qualtity over quantity to it. where as in fallout 3 there is no factions with lets say the bos or the enclave which is good in a way, keeps that obscurity and faithfullness to the main overall storyline and vibe. and in oblivion there a opnly a few voice actors and with all them npcs it gets really irratating. but in fallout 3 there is less npcs therefore theresno use to the voices therefpre thus they dont get irratating. the main quests is tedious, go to oblivion gate, sigil stone, another oblivion gate etc. but with all its an amazing open ended immersive beautiful game with tons of player choice and content to last me perosnally a few years to this day in fact....
