The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races. @SuperfluousMoniker: I never quite understood why they kept the arrow thing. Maybe sticking out of shields would be cool, but sticking out of your body, especially your head, makes you look more like you have necrosis and can't feel it than anything heroic. But goofy, it definitely does that.
As much as part of me hopes that some future ES game will get rid of all the random weirdness, the other part revels in this odd shit. It wants to know just how high a stack of horses can theoretically go...
Horses are such a joke in this game. A joke in the sense that they're horribly animated when you compare them to Red Dead's. I love how they have the same walking animation when underwater or that when falling they continue their walk animation
The demon horse is Shadowmere, you get him/her/it from the dark brotherhood questline. His health regenerates so fast he's pretty hard to kill and he can sprint for longer. He is more aggressive though so he will charge at everything.
@Swoxx: I didn't join either side (although I picked up the quest to join the Imperial Legion and it actually caused issues). At the point in the main quest where you are trying to convince the Jarl of Whiterun to let you trap a dragon in the castle, he says that he won't do it because of the war. When you go back to ask the greybeards (or maybe it was that other guy, Ellis or whatever his name was) they suggest trying to start a peace council so you have to talk the Imperials and Stormcloaks into attending the meetings. Maybe it doesn't happen if you have already taken a side and you're instead tasked with doing something to give the side you picked an advantage?
Also of note, like I said I had picked up the quest to join the Imperial Legion wayyy back at the beginning of the game and never did it, well when I went to Tullius to ask him to go to the peace council he wouldn't give me the time of day, I didn't even get a conversation menu until I completed the quest, and then I had to actually join the Legion before the option to ask him to attend the meeting popped up. So good advice to anyone is don't pick up the quests relating to joining a side on the civil war unless you intend to follow through!

I came out of the College, and there was a dragon in front of me. I smacked it in the face with Dawnbreaker, and I fell through the world. Best game ever.
