The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races. Only the player, as the prophesied hero the Dovahkiin, can save the world from destruction.
First Skyrim weekend. How many hours did YOU play?
Steam says 20 hours. I've been feeling progressively more disoriented over the past few days though so I'm trying to take more breaks.
21 hours in and i only killed my first dragon a couple ago, basicaly i just left the first sewers and said "right wheres the thief's guild and wheres the bards colage" 20 hrs later and done pritty much nothing
Around 7 or 8. Got it midnight the 10th/11th and planned to play it into the next morning but fell asleep half an hour in (not the games fault). Work has been crazy lately and I'm working weekends too plus 5 hours a night for a second job for this week only. Worst possible time for me personally for Skyrim. I'm planning on getting in an hour a night this week til things die down. Somewhere in there I'll finish Rage, MW3, get Assassin's Creed and play that and Uncharted 3. Damn time...looks like I'll have heaps for the dead period next year though, not counting all those games I missed out on
I've put in 20 hours thus far (started late on Friday) and have barely touched the main story stuff. I think I've killed five dragons...maybe six, not sure, my memory is shite.
Between 10 and 11 hours so far. I love that I still feel like I've barely even touched the game. I'll be spending many more hours with this game in the future. That's for sure!
I think somewhere around 10 (is there somewhere to check this?)
Although I am about to reroll because I didn't do any research for my first try and have finally decided to go with pure magic. (My perks are kinda scattered in skills that I ultimately would never use as a mage like blocking and armor)
Better to redo the first 10 hours and enjoy the next 90 then play through the 90 knowing I ultimately don't want to play with those skills, right?
edit: I had a project to work on this weekend, I have suprising little homework/projects during the week, so I fully expect to be at about 50 hours by friday.
Around 14. Of course, as a direct result of my Skyrim playing, the rough draft of an 8-10 page research essay has yet to be written. And it's due tomorrow. Thanks video games!
Starting on Friday afternoon, my apartment played host to a mini Skyrim launch party consisting of my roommate, his girlfriend and our two friends. The two friends lasted a day before packing up and heading home to take a break. The couple are still playing.
Basically, everyone loves this game and I cannot get into it despite my best efforts. I used my weekend to beat Portal 2 instead.
27.3 hours according to Steam, which is usually off by at least a bit, as it says I've played Fallout 3 for 15 hours when the save file says I've played for 40.. I restarted though so I'm only 10 hours into my current file and around level 10.
I have 5 written assignments due in the next week or two (Including an 8 page essay and a 5 page essay) so I probably won't get to play again until around the 28th of November, the day I hand the last of the assignments in. Chances are I'll probably try to squeeze in a bit of time to play Skyrim, but normally when I have lots due I only play SC2 because it isn't a huge timesink (the average game is 10-20 minutes) and I can sneak in a game here and there, where with Skyrim I'll accidentally marathon it for 10 hours without realizing it, which is what I did on Saturday and Friday. I played from noon until 2AM on Saturday with only a supper break and one hour long break to workout because my back was getting stiff from sitting in one place for so long. On Friday I played from 11AM to 4PM, the cable guy came over to fix something for an hour so I stopped then. Then played from 6PM until 5AM(!).
Now I get to fix my sleep pattern again because I stayed up until 3-4AM minimum for 3 days in a row (I stayed up for launch and played until 3AM as well). It's worth it though.
Around 26 hours. I'm ashamed because I was supposed to do work this weekend, but instead I quested in Skyrim...
Probably around 8 hours, but if I didn't have a midterm and school work to worry about I'd probably give Skyrim my every waking moment.
