    Overview

    The End Is Nigh is an indie 2D action-adventure platformer developed and published digitally by Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel for the PC (via Steam) on July 12, 2017. Ports for the Nintendo Switch and other consoles have been announced, with involvement from Nicalis.

    In this spiritual sequel to McMillen's earlier platformer Super Meat Boy, players control Ash, a small black blob and one of the very few surviving things of the apocalypse, as he sets out through the decayed mutant-filled world to make a friend (literally making a friend out of parts). Along the way, he can find numerous game cartridges for bonus retro levels.
