    American McGee founded The Mauretania Import Export Company shortly after he left Electronic Arts in January 2002. He served as the the company's creative director, lead designer, writer and game designer.

    The only game Mauretania ever made is American McGee presents Bad Day in L.A. which garnered several negative reviews upon release. Mauretania went completely silent after that without any news of their activities of any kind. It was later revealed on their website that the company had been dissolved and had moved all their properties to American's new company: Spicy Horse.

    The Mauretania Import Export Company (“TMIEC”) was dissolved on December 17, 2010. Prior to the dissolution of TMIEC, all assignable intellectual property rights of TMIEC were assigned to Spicy Horse International Limited (“Spicy Horse”).
