A new Punisher? Awesome. Unfortunately it's only on Playstation Network, so it might be a while before I get to play it.

@ShogunSupremacy: No, you're not the only one. It looks really good. And coming from Zen Studios I have high hopes for it. Zen Pinball was a fantastic game. I'll be interested to see how they can handle an FPS.

Apparently it does have a story mode. Although it may well just be "arena" matches against bots with some cut-scenes attached. It would be nice to be surprised though.

Gotta say that the game doesn't LOOK too super terrible.  For being a download-only game, it might be the first good Punisher game to exist!  We'll see...

It doesn't "look" bad, but it looks bad. I highly doubt this game will be nothing but a Painkiller clone, with even dumber, mindless enemies.

For some reason, I was expecting a video of The Final Countdown when I clicked the link. Color me sad.

I don't see how anyone can complain about that trailer. It's $9.99 peeps. There's nothing inherently wrong with the trailer at all.

Let's just wait until Thursday until we call "bad" shall we?

I'm pumped for this game, I know it's not going to be critically acclaimed or even that good by my terms I'm sure, but it looks fun. It's the kind of dumb game I'm into. However I don't have a PS3 so yeah... bummer for me.

Reminds me of Soldier of Fortune, you know, when SoF was still good (so Double Helix mainly), but a bit more run'n'gun-ish. Kinda interested in this, and I'll probably bite if the demo is any good.

Got it today. Loads to unlock. Online is fine. Story mode is as I expected, arena matches vs AI with cutscenes. Gameplay is ever so slightly clunky - movement isn't as smooth as you'd expect from a retail game, but it's certainly not bad. Presentation is pretty good.

It's not going to tear anyone away from CoD or Killzone or whatever but if you like shooters/or The Punisher -- it's £6. 'Nuff said.

Definitely worth a try if you've got the cash. It's quite ambitious considering the price.

As soon as I get my PS3 (September when I go back to college) I think this will actually be on my list for day one. Though before I get it ill probably be asking around giant bomb (and probably some other places) if its actually still being played. I dont expect it to last that long.

Looks like a generic first-person-shooter with the Punisher license slapped onto it for selling power.

But hey, maybe that's enough for some people.

The problem is that it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Punisher. Yeah, some of the characters are there, but there is not planning, no story, no gun fetish, no Punishing :p
The Punisher would be the perfect character to do a combination between Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six Vegas, GTA and Gears of War kind of game.

That is so true, I think the reason I want it is that it looks like an uncomplicated shooter. Some maps, some guns and some targets (and a cheap price tag to boot).

I have to say that I think it's awesome for companies to be releasing big ass downloadable games like Battlefield 1943 and Punisher: No Mercy (and the soon to come Shadow Complex).  It's about time people started showing that you can release a big fat game on a DLC setup.

@jakob187: I agree it is kind of cool to see developers doing this, but it makes me desperately want a faster internet connection. It takes forever for me to download a full game, but whatever.
