The Punisher

The Punisher - Arcade - Capcom - 1993

Wow man the white Nick Fury kicks ass. No seriously. This guys is good. So I played this old ass arcade game called The Punisher and it’s fucking awesome.

First of all, there are two characters that are pretty much palette swaps. Nick Fury and The Punisher. Secondly you walking around pressing the kill button and punch the shit out of anything that gets in your way. The first part of the game has you punching dudes that talk mess and the second part has you smashing cyborgs and freeing hot chicks from jail.

Tossing a ninja into a cyborg is no joke, and has the expected consequences. The controls are good and walking right up to a dude will grapple with him. Hitting both buttons together does a special attack. When the punisher does a special attack it creates a pretty amazing sound.

Guns and flame devices can be picked up and used. If you strike an enemy with an axe, blood shoots out of his skin. This game should have an M rating. At one point the Punisher beats the boss and then shoots him in the head after already defeating him. Pretty fucked up man.

If you can use an emulator, then definitely check this game out. It’s really good and the gameplay is fun. And as an added bonus I grant you the sounds the The Punisher makes.
