Am I being stupid? I am stuck on a particular puzzle which should be obvious by the title and there is some broken glass in the way of what I believe to be the solution can anybody help?

You need to collect the wrench and repair the broken glass. If you can't find the wrench try going around the broken part.

If you were walking along and saw broken glass, would you step on it?

Alternatively you can go to the desert and collect some sand to smelt into a new pane of glass at the forge.

No, keep trying. There is not some crazy solution, you just haven't found the right path. you can't use the broken part so find a different route.

The broken glass acts the exact same a the little gap in the lines of the grid you sometimes see. Just have to figure a way around it.

Just to make sure we are talking about the castle like section? And from the starting point I go left? Lol I have been playing this for a couple of hours now and just do not see it lol

Really? @dweezilx's hint is pretty explicit about how to solve that explicit puzzle. It's not vague or anything.
