Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is unapologetically weird, unabashedly over-the-top, and it's utterly fantastic 0

I don't think anyone could have possibly imagined the end result from the dramatic reveal teaser of a Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem crossover. I remember an incredible amount of late night discussions with friends, drawing in additional characters from spinoffs such as Devil Summoner and Persona, imagining possible scenarios, all star clashes between Demifiend and the forces of Black Fang, The Dawn Brigade staring down YHVH, and Ike dancing crazy.Needless to say, absolutely none of that hap...

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Review 0

Three years ago Nintendo announced a crossover project with ATLUS, combining their Fire Emblem franchise with the latter’s Shin Megami Tensei franchise. Two years later, and another trailer reveals that what many thought would be one of the best strategy game crossovers is now a new, independent, title. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is final product of a three-year long campaign to create something new from older influences, but the end result isn’t exactly satisfying. At an opera show i...

(Game played with Japanese text.)I imported Tokyo Mirage Sessions # FE Wii U bundle from Japan at the tail end of 2015. Not a wise purchase choice by any mean. In terms of the industry, while the Wii U exclusive Super Mario Maker was winning Game of the Year 2015 from at least Giantbomb and Usgamer, it was clear that Nintendo’s struggling console had entered into its twilight year. In terms of personal experience, TMS#FE’s mandated dual screen set-up had always been in the way of me ...

    Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE - Baby's First Persona 0

Scroll down to read the review, or watch it in video form here!Tokyo Mirage Sessions # FE is the current 1st place contender for most utterly stupid game title of 2016. It’s also a turn-based JRPG developed jointly by Intelligent Systems, creators of the Fire Emblem series, & Atlus, the guys behind the extremely dark and mature Shin Megami Tensei series, and published by Nintendo on the Wii U.The story takes place in modern-ish day Tokyo. A series of mysterious incidents have begun occ...

Light hearted, saccharine and colorful JRPG 0

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore or TMS for short, is a goofy, fun and lighthearted JRPG. The game is a collaboration between ATLUS and Nintendo and was planned to be a merger of the Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem franchises. Unfortunately fans of either series will be disappointed to learn that neither franchise is properly represented in TMS. The game is best described as a Persona game with heavy J-Pop themes. The Fire Emblem elements that are there are barely noticeable such as: sound ef...
