    Pretty sure that version was too mainstream. The stand-alone version was way more obscure.

    I don't think this style of game has ever been appealing, in stand alone or flash format. Could never really get into it, despite my love of flash games.

    This came out years ago and may have come to rise when the video games for consoles were announced and some peeps decided to look around the web for more info on the game and came across the games and started to share them. Or not, i was only 14 when this came out. LEAVE ME ALONE.

    The game is 100% skill, the trial games i have played in flash format is way more harder than i have seen so far in the videos, so when i have the cash i'm gonna play it, and if it gets lucky; make sweet sweet love to it.

    Me too! Elasto Mania (2000) came before Trials 1 (which was 2003 I believe), I played it 10 years ago.

    Bike games before Elasto Mania had no physics.

    @ludorverr:

    So great to hear that people played it. It was a giant hit here but I never hear anyone bring it up. You are the third person to do so here. The crazy thing about the physics is that they are still similiar for these kinds of games today but with less stretching. I was playing Bike Baron for ios and I got hooked on a plank with my back wheel. The harness started stretching even though the space is to little for it to do so and I got a good nostalgia trip. Elasto Mania was awesome. If someone doesn't know what it is check it out here:

    Obligatory, "I had a C64 and Kikstart 2" post. ;) And I think I actually saw the TV show "Kick Start", even though I was only five years old when it was last broadcast.

    Elasto Mania was definitely one of the earliest games I played on a PC. Amazing 2d Track editors.

    I remember everyone playing that Java-based Trials game back in school during study hall on the library computers. How crazy is it that the same developer went on to make blockbuster hit games on Xbox based on the same basic concept as their original browser game?

    @NickL: It's the same basic premise of Trials, except to lean forward/backward you'd press the left/right button once and it would shift your weight a certain amount, and then you press space to flip the direction you're moving in.
