    I can't remember anything from the original movie but being the sci-fi nerd I am the movie looks like it could be really awesome, gonna see it as soon as I can

    The album is pretty great fits, perfectly with the movie, I also like the fact that Daft Punk themselves appear in the movie

    Derezzed is my favorite track on there

    @Venatio: Yeah i guess it could be good it's just that i don't have any affinity for the universe. I have seen the original and though it was neat but not much more.
    I love the sort of dark and bombastic nature of the soundtrack though. I hope it's a big part of the movie and not toned down too much.

    Since I already bought the deluxe edition,(GIVE ME MY POSTER NOW!), I decided to go ahead and torrent the album. This is really quite the departure from their previous work. Bangalter said that they wanted to use an orchestra to bring longevity to their music and it shows. I'm liking the electronic fused with orchestra direction. Derezzed is basically the only track that is similar to their past work.

    This is perfect GT5 music. Derezzed is a great track...going to buy this, although I don't think anything can top their Alive 2007 album.

    I just kind of scanned throught some of the songs, as the best way to hear a score is to watch the movie it's accompanied with, and I don't really want to spoil myself of whatever sorts of awesome come with the whole audio/visual shit that is sure to occure in the movie.

    My favorite track is End of Line.
    I can imagine a wicked Tron-rave to it.

    I'm a huge Daft Punk fan and a pretty big Tron fan, but the soundtrack was disappointing.  Derezzed and End of Line are good though.

    A lot of people expected a full daft punk album. It's still a soundtrack. And a damn good one at that in my opinion.

    That site linked didn't work for me, but I found it on nialler9.com

    Stream Daft Punk’s Tron:Legacy soundtrack in full

    @Metal_Mills:
      I agree, but I can't say that I didn't hope for something a bit meatier.  The bright side is that if the album is a success, they might go back into the studio and create a new original album.

    Pretty sure I heard they are already working on one for release next year.

    @Metal_Mills:
    I wasn't expecting a house or electronic album, I was actually quite looking forward to their orchestral compositions and the integration of analog synths.  Soundtracks are a passion of mine and I was especially excited to hear Thomas mention that Vangelis and Bernard Herman were inspirations for the Tron soundtrack.

    Still from a soundtrack perspective and a Daft Punk it is disappointing.  Though to be fair, one must hear music along with what it was composed for.
