The only reason not  alot of people played the original is because back then the install base of ps3 was very small."

I've heard Naughty Dog has messed up sequels in the past by trying to go "dark" or whatever. Hopefully the tone of the trailer and Drake's new douchebag goatee aren't signs of that.

I absolutely loved the first one, I can't fucking wait for this.

The onion is a really funny fake news site. And this was really the only review that was "negitive". I never said this game was bad, i just think its a little to hackish, and it didnt really click for me.

I agree, I'm just hoping that they can still have the variety of locales that match those of the first game, seems more difficult to do in this location.

I really want to get Uncharted but I think I'll wait until it becomes a "Player's Choice" game...unless it already is?

Drake's Fortune was already pretty dark, especially when you got towards the end.

They're probably slightly limited by the T rating, but that's fine by me. Actually, I'm surprised it's T with the amount of blood that shoots out of the enemies when you shoot them."

Yeah that's ridiculous...if Ractchet is now $30 when the hell is Uncharted going to? Hopefully before Q2 of 2008. I heard it has sold over 2 million copies and has an awesome average on gamerankings. It definitely meets the requirements for the Placement.

Jak 3 got a hell of a lot more lighter, Jak 2 truly was gritty and depressing. Jak and Daxter was basically happy fun time."

I was just going on what I heard from a Jak fan who said 2 went in taht direction. I hope you dudes are right and Naughty Dog isn't pulling a Warrior Within. It'd suck to see Uncharted 2 be the victim of the mentality that a sequel needs to be full of some hacky idea of brooding and despair in order for the series to progress. I'd rather just have another fun, Indy-esque adventure with a better cover system and enemies who don't suck up bullets like ballistic gel.

And this isn't really on topic, but the first page of this thread kind of highlights one of the things that makes reading this forum a pain sometimes. If more people would express their opinions thoughtfully and not in a way that could be taken as flame-bait, or if their opinion isn't really relevant to the topic at hand just not say anything at all, we'd have less threads turning into pissing contests that aren't really contributing to what the thread is about.
