Just announced at Spike PS4 Live Event. Titled just "Uncharted" and it seems like there might be a new character. Will update with trailer when its up. Disappointed they're going back to an existing franchise but maybe they'll change up the formula a bit.

I will gladly play it if it's as good as the PS3 games, but Naughty Dog not doing something new on PS4 is really disappointing.

Hopefully it is at least better than 3 and Golden Abyss combined. AKA, as good as the original, but not as good as 2.

Felt kind of done with Uncharted after 3. I can't say this excites me too much until I see something substantial.

Is it a reboot or something? Why no 4. I had kinda hoped they would quit while they were ahead with this series, but hopefully they do something fresh with the mechanics and protagonist.

One would assume that the Last of Us team is working on something new.

I won't lie, I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping they would let go of the franchise for a bit. Oh well.

I love the writing and characters so I'm down for this but, man... I really hope they improve the combat. So far ND just hasn't gotten that part down.

Uncharted 3 felt quite tired, which is weird since 2 was the game that really started the franchise. Not sure if I want another game. Thinking back at It 3 was so similar to 2 it was like they stopped trying. The second half of 2 and 3 are almost identical gameplay and story wise.

The central myth that it seems focused on is cool, but it'll come down to the core characters, what they do with them and how they change up the formula that will really matter most to me. I still haven't played 3 just because it didn't look as good as 2.

This is pretty much exactly what I wanted out of this event. 3 was kind of a sour note to end the series on, and I'd like to see them go out with a bang.

I love Uncharted so I'm excited but the teaser did nothing for me. I hate (& love) teasers.

I am starting to get sick of trailers that show nothing of the game being promoted. It is like they are saying, "here is an announcement to state that we are going to announce something at some point in the future."

Good for them. I'm not going to play it but I'm sure it'll sell well enough to make another one and another and...

Uncharted 4: Maybe We Should Start Charting Some of This

I dunno if I'm in the majority or the minority. But I want them to stop with the supernatural shit. So I hope they do.

It maybe could be done well, but it hasn't yet, so yeah!

I know, saw the same thing on GIO, went to the Blog and it was there. Wonder where GIO's source for that.

If it's a reboot of the series I can dig it.

I am so disappointed that they aren't just doing something new. Seems like it's probably the Uncharted 3 team working on this so hopefully we'll get something new and interesting from the Uncharted 2/Last of Us guys soon.

I'd say great chance that's Last of Us 2 but I guess we will see.

As other have said Naughty Dog being a two team studio now it's not surprising that they're continuing Uncharted. And I look forward to playing it. Hopefully they change some things up in it and don't just make the same games but prettier.

Me too. Didn't like Last of Us that much anyways. But it would be kinda cool to see on next gen hardware, the last game pushing the PS3 to the brink of exploding in my entertainment center and all.

A game not about shooting people in the face would be a good change of pace. Feels like ND should be doing more than just third person shooters.

I'm going to buy it. I'll probably love it. I liked Uncharted 3. Can't say I'm not slightly disappointed it's not something new.

Kind of felt done after 2. Enjoyable game, but it was enough.

Regardless, it will definitely look beautiful. I have my problems with 2 and 3 (red and blue motherfuckers) but I'm on board for another one since I have a new machine to play it with.

The Uncharted

The tone seems a little dark for my tastes and I hope to God it's not a reboot so soon. Given the fact that this video has absolutely nothing substantial to tell me about the new Uncharted video game besides the fact that it is being made, I'm indifferent for now.

Uncharted 2 and 3 both had teasers in line with this. It's probably more of a re-branding, then reboot, like Xbone's "Halo". Comic books do dumb shit like that every year, it's to get new people to jump on.

At first I thought that was Vin Diesel's voice and I got reeeeeeeally excited.

I love Uncharted, automatically sold, i'm in, take my money, done.

Well, ND is split into two teams, maybe the second team goes onto something new once they are done with The Last of Us DLC.

Of course there's going to be a new Uncharted. Which I'm certainly not opposed to, so long as they shy away from Nathan Drake, at least in the starring role. Though if anything the dialogue and tone of this trailer almost makes me think this will star some associate of Drake's that went to prison/got lost in one of the many collapsing cities Drake tends to trigger, who is now after REVENNNGGGEEEEE. I hope so least, and not that this guy is just going to be the latest in Nathan Drake's pantheon of mortal enemies...

Yeah, people seem to be missing that fact. I'm at least holding out some hope that there's another ND team working on a fresh IP. As much as I like the Uncharted franchise, it would be dissapointing if ND breaks its streak of making a new IP for every Sony console.

I don't get people who like Uncharted. I found i super boring to play for the exact same reasons critics seem to dislike Knack. To me, they both suffer from the same problem, only Uncharted has more cinematic value (which is primarily not what I'm looking for in video games).

I really hope it's not just more Uncharted. I love the idea of getting more from the series, but not if it's just going to be more 3rd person cover shooting bookended by "go here while this shit explodes around you".

Again, I'd be shocked if they aren't making a next gen Last of Us sequel. That wasn't a one off game it was the start of a franchise. I'm not missing anything.

I think they probably do make a new IP if I was going to bet but with them making Uncharted, probably not for a while.

I originally was thinking/hoping they would hand off Uncharted to a different studio.

I could play another Uncharted. I really enjoy those types of games, and I always thought Naughty Dog does a good job with that stuff.

Uncharted wasn't that bad, Uncharted 2 was AMAZING, and Uncharted 3 was okay (but honestly, how could it stack up to what Uncharted 2 was?).

I think this is a straight up sequel. They said if you pick apart the trailer you will be able to find some clues, and while I haven't found anything profound, one thing I did notice is that towards the end, you can see four marks made on the skull. Not exactly proper roman numerals, but I think it could be a hint that this is not a spinoff or prequel.
